Will they ever admit they robbed Kobe of MVP(s)? NO

i was just watching game 6 of the western conference finals on nbatv (artests game winning putback).... i voted steve nash. he gets the job done and his BB IQ is probably top 5 all time. he's always been one of my favorites. his defense obviously hurts his case, but he was NEVER good with defense yet he has 2 mvps. i think he's still playing on that MVP level.

There is no way Pau is a top 10 player in the league.

Dirk Nowitzki

7 footer who has the stroke of a guard. Pure hybrid player with no equal in the NBA. Some have come close but nothing as grand as the NBA has seen in a player like Nowitzki.

Deron Williams - close second, he should be #9 after all is said and done.

This is easily Dirk. Pau has become ridiculously overrated ever since joining the Lakers. Which I suppose makes up for how underrated he was before joining the Lakers.

Why was Gasol ranked the best PF for PSD, but yet Dirk is a lot more favourable in the top 10 players? Why was CP3 ranked #2 among PG's after D-Will, while CP ranks #6 overall, while DWill isn't ranked? These are screwed up this year.

and the next would be D.Will for me.

But these Polls are just for entertainment the Voting is so inconsistent.

People are sleeping on Tim Duncan. I almost wish he would go to another team, just so the general fan would understand what a monumental impact he would make (so much greater than Melo, even at 35).

That said, Dirk/Deron/Pau are solid choices here.

This. But until then they will continue to say he is washed up, when even washed up Tim Duncan is so much better than so many young players glamorized for the amount of shots they take.

There still hasn't been a single person who has backed up the choke statement. Dirk is a top notch player in the playoffs, his teammates don't show up. If Kobe scores 10 points, LA can still win. If Dirk scores under 30, there is a good chance DAL loses...........

I think it's just Duncan's inability to put up dominating numbers why people aren't voting for him. he's a consistent 18 and 10 right now, but he doesn't dominate games like he used to so he goes unnoticed.

And i just noticed that same CP3/Deron scenario is happening right now. Pau got voted #1 PF but Dirk will end up higher on the top 10 player list.

Almost all of Duncan's Per 36 and efficiency numbers are above his career averages. This is someone who career wise many consider the best PF in history. His defense, while it has certainly taken a step back, is still pretty elite by today's standards. He's good. He just doesn't play the same minutes.

Since Mark Cuban is quite confident on Mav beating the Lakers, maybe he is counting on Dirk scoring 40 and Kobe 0 point when the 2 teams matching up? :eyebrow:

um, Laker fans pouring in votes for Gasol (whose competition has smaller fan bases by a mile, leaving it up to the neutral fans here, never good), and short term memories for the injured Paul on how good he really is.
Pretty simple.

Agreed. Pau is fantastic, but not the #1 PF in the game, and CP3 is so obviously better then D-Wiil.

I think it's also because of Duncans sub-par playoffs this past post-season. He has always represented stability and consistency; this post season he put up a PER of 19.8 in comparison to his regular season PER of 24.7.

If you look at Duncans playoff PERs through out the years it strangely goes up and down, averaging out to a strange consistency. For example he put up a PER of 24.9 during the Spurs 2005 title run, only to up that figure during the 2006 playoffs to a PER of 30.4, strangely enough, a year where the Spurs get booted out of the playoffs.

What I'm sayin' is Duncan could surprise us with a higher playoff PER this post season, and it wouldn't be out of character in the slightest.
