WEEK 4 POWER RANKINGS
dedicated to The Wise 1 - hope you get to read these at 4am or whenever the hell you get up for work

1. Saddler the Gr8 - Gatorade Team on the Rise. Dominant win over a weak opponent. Point totals impossible to ignore.

2. JermanJaysFan - Solid win over a game opponent. Although the Brown Mamba did not come with his A-game, this was an important win for last year's President's Trophy winners.

3. The Wise 1 - Injury bug hit this team this week, so not a dramatic drop. Will have to perform next week in order to maintain a top 3 spot. How long can Cousins coexist with this hard-line manager?

4. Bob at York - It has been several years since Bob has seen the top 5 in the power rankings (hypothetically speaking, of course :D). Still has some question marks that will have to continue performing.

5. jsumadchat - Not a great showing against a downed opponent, but knocking off the #1 guy in the power rankings grants you a top 5 spot.

6. eagles - Great performances until now allow him to keep in the top half of these rankings, but will certainly have to rebound from a pathetic performance this week

7. greg_ory_2005 - Injuries are keeping this squad from making real noise. Disappointing loss to a long-time bottom dweller.

8. Swoop - Perhaps a bounce back week? Still not the greatest point totals, but this vet won a gritty battle with last year's runner-up.

9. Dol-Fan - A disappointing week was capped off by an impressive debut in front of an excited (and sufficiently stoned) home crowd at Ricky Williams Arena by David Lee. Big trade could signal a turnaround.

10. Macedonian - Stays put this week after a mediocre performance. Got the win once again, and if he does so in more impressive fashion next week, he'll earn a bump in the rankings.

11. SA5195 - Gets a boost after knocking off the defending champs. Impressive week but will need to keep it up in order to get more respect from his peers

12. Gibby - Big drop for an injury-riddled squad. With Horford gone for the season, and Curry's status in question, it could be a long season in Gibsonville.

13. conway429 - Huge shakeup for this squad could be the start of a turnaround - Kyle Lowry will look to cement himself as the new franchise player alongside Dirka Dirka.

14. Mile High Champ - Trouble is brewing here. Paul George has yet to grow another inch and Delonte West has moved on to Chris Paul's mama. Could chemistry issues be the root of this team's failures?

Wade will be back soon enough, I just need to stay afloat right now, and think my team is good enough to win this league again once Randolph comes back.

Harden will be fine...I've got him on my money league team and he's been great all year. Also have Dirk and Lowry on that same team, so I'm hopeful that we both 'win' this trade :D

WEEK 5 POWER RANKINGS

1. Saddler the Gr8 - Most dominant week of the year. Although his team hosts 2 midgets and a cave man (Barea, Robinson, KaveMan), the rest of the team seemingly plays with a collective chip on their shoulder due to this handicap.

2. JermanJaysFan - Perhaps a breakout week as last year's choke king continues to rise. Is he setting himself for another massive letdown?

3. Bob at York - Big win this week puts him in the top three, but the opponent defeated keeps this analyst skeptical. Will face a true challenge next week versus the power ranking champions of Week 5, a contest that will determine his place in the top 3 for Week 6.

4. greg_ory_2005 - Perhaps the most impressive stat totals of the week. John Wall has returned. If Eric Gordon can ever do the same...this team is scary. Danilo Gallinari is the best Italian in fantasy basketball (suck on that Wise 1)

5. Swoop - Solid win over a downed opponent. This team is getting on a roll and seem to be firing on all cylinders. Clearly the poon-power of Kardashian is rubbing off not only on Kris Humphries' play, but the play of his fantasy teammates.

6. jsumadchat - Block city in MadChatLand. DeAndre and JaVale will be winning the blocks category all year round. May need to make a trade to acquire scoring and 3s to hang with the big boys.

7. eagles - Crapped the bed this week, albeit with decent stat totals. Performance thus far and the aforementioned totals keep him in the top half, although a shutout made this difficult.

8. The Wise 1 - Dropping quickly and will face an angry Brown Mamba next week that could prove a tough opponent. When will Bargnani return? Will he stay afloat until Manu's return? LaMarcus Aldridge says yes.

9. SA5195 - Second straight win brings him out of the bottom 4. Will certainly need to put up more points to keep it up, though.

10. Dol-fan - The defending champ is falling quickly. Will Wade return soon? He'll need to if this team wants to contend without Randolph. The young guns, Brooks and Rubio, are keeping this squad afloat...for now.

11. Gibby - Actually staying competitive despite being decimated by injuries. Curry's return could spark a turnaround. Clearly, the players like playing for this manager, as the talent of this squad is severely lacking but their effort is second to none.

12. Macedonian - Very disappointing loss after a couple of wins. The stat totals are there, and the wins should follow, but that shutout in Week 1 is still hurting his rankings. When he wins, he wins narrowly, and when he loses, he loses badly.

13. conway429 - Had a stronger week after some nice performances by newcomers Lowry and Irving. Irving will have to cut down on the turnovers, though, as it's clear that his teammates are growing frustrated with this kid. Losing Dirk for the next week will have an impact, but he should be optimistic that Dirk comes back at full strength.

14. Mile High Champ - An absolute mess, but who could have expected more with Delonte West on board? He continues to ride West on Ms. Paul, and Paul has accordingly refused to enter games for this manager. He'll need to make some moves soon to restore order to the locker room.

sorry guys, started 'em last night and fell asleep :) here ya go

WEEK 6 POWER RANKINGS

1. Bob at York - Dominant performance over last week's top spot holder in what was the biggest match of the year thus far. Statement game.

2. Saddler the Gr8 - Rough week but his performance thus far gets him a pass. Could he have hit the rookie wall already? Some of his early season surprises have begun to falter (as this power ranking specialist earlier predicted).

3. JermanJaysFan - Lost the week and totals were not up to his standards, but eagles being shut out last week precludes him from being included in the top 3. Toney Douglas is starting again and could provide a spark.

4. jsumadchat - Beat on an injury-riddled opponent, but can't knock the point totals. He would have won a matchup against just about any team this week. Could the athletic kids finally be maturing and listening to this young coach?

5. eagles - After an embarrassing week, he pulls out a solid win. Peripheral stats continue to propel this well-balanced team, despite a tough week against #2. Getting Anthony back will be huge.

6. SA5195 - Not impressed by the point totals but you can't knock the record. He has perhaps encountered some luck thus far as this 'objective' observer isn't convinced by the roster. However, hot play earns him the Gatorade Rising Star of the Week.

7. greg_ory_2005 - Unfortunate stumble against a mediocre opponent. This team just can't seem to gain consistency, but who is surprised with the enigmatic John Wall and the FT killer Howard headlining this team?

8. Gibby - Have to respect his management skills, has made some shrewd pickups this year and they've paid off. He'll continue to rise if he can prove that he can succeed despite a lack of talent.

9. The Wise 1 - Point totals keep him in the top 10, but some pretty tough injuries keep me skeptical. If he can get his guys healthy, this could be a top 3 squad. Westbrook, Aldridge, Cousins, Teague, Matthews, and Knight have been very solid picks.

10. conway429 - Could this long-time bottom-dweller finally be making a move up? Newfound help has been of great assistance, and while the point totals aren't overly impressive, there is an exciting aura around this squad.

11. swoop - Struggling bad without Deng and Rondo. Perhaps the poorest point totals of the year thus far. The buzz around this team is failing as his medical staff struggles to keep up with the injuries. Once with strong control of his team, his guys seem to be losing respect for this coach.

12. Dol-Fan - The Kellogg's Corn Pops Falling Disaster of the Week. This team has actually been falling for a few weeks now with no end in sight. Can D-Wade save the team? Not likely with Thornton, Randolph, and Brooks all looking to miss significant time.

13. Mile High Champ - Climbs out of the cellar, but for how long? A win over his fellow cellar-dweller propelled him out of the bottom spot, but it will take a lot more to push him into the top 10. Losing Bogut will hurt, and just goes to show that you avoid drafting guys who get injured every year.

14. Macedonian - After seeming to come around for a few weeks, this former champ has found his way back to the basement. His most recent trade has not worked out for him, and his players have subsequently put up some lacklustre effort. They feel on edge, as this manager trades his guys like they were pogs, and not human beings.

WEEK 7 POWER RANKINGS

1. JermanJaysFan - Perhaps this took longer than most expected, and he had to stomp on some faces on his way to the top, but this perennial powerhouse has made his way back to the top spot on the power rankings. Can he stay there in spite of Kevin Love's ensuing suspension?

2. Bob at York - Tough loss and came close on several cats. Powered by some solid young bigs in Monroe, Gortat, and Ibaka but could likely stand to sacrifice some rebounding for an upgrade in 3pt shooting or assists. Let's see if he has a savvy move up his sleeve.

3. Saddler the Gr8 - Stays in the top three...for now. How will the team handle the death of Amare's brother? This coach hopes to rally the troops around a tragic experience and pull out a victory this week.

4. jsumadchat - Likely deserves to be in the top 3 after some very stellar performances, but the teams above him haven't faltered enough to permit that just yet. A few easy opponents have also been of great assistance. Can his young headcases keep it up against a true test this week?

5. eagles - Another case of a team playing well enough to be at the top, but stuck behind some tough teams. He's rebounded with 2 solid wins (including one over the previous top spot holder) after an embarrassing week. The chuckers are scoring for him now, but can just as easily shoot him out of an important match. This is a team to keep your eye on.

6. greg_ory_2005 - Statistically put up one of the best weeks of the season, but couldn't quite break away from his opponent. That's been the story of this team so far. He has the talent to win the league, but his players just don't get motivated enough to blow out the opposition. He'll need to devise some new tactics in order to break away.

7. Gibby - An injury to Gerald Henderson has exposed this squad to yet another challenge to overcome. Can he do it? This ranker thinks yes, as management has consistently shown an ability to overcome tough losses and play hard. He does, however, need to hire a new medical staff, or his players will likely begin to lose respect for ownership.

8. The Wise 1 - Solid picks down the board continue to propel this roster. If he had missed on just a few picks, this squad would be floundering sans Bargnani and Ginobili. Surely the rest of the team is playing with additional effort in an attempt to gratify this crafty owner to make up for some unfortunate injuries.

9. Swoop - Lacks the flare of last season's squad, but is still good enough to compete every week. The injury bug has been quite friendly to this team, but perhaps the players are a little uneasy about a fat and out-of-shape Baron Davis taking up space that could be occupied by a hungry young player.

10. SA5195 - This team puts up a lot of points but peripheral stats are at times lacking. After being the Gatorade Rising Team of the Week last week, he earns the Kelloggs Corn Pops Falling Disaster of the Week this time around. It's clear that a few draft-day reaches will continue to hinder his team from taking it all the way.

11. Mile High Champ - Doritos Unexpected Performance of the Week. He put up outstanding point totals this week - could this be the start of a turnaround? Delonte West seems to be keeping his act together after some early season distress, and the rest of the team is responding. This ranker perhaps underestimated the mediating abilities of MHC.

12. Macedonian - A tie with a top 3 team brings him out of the cellar, but unimpressive point totals keep him in the bottom 3. Put up low totals across the board for points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, and that simply won't get it done in the toughest fantasy league on the planet.

13. Dol-Fan - The disaster season continues as the injuries pile up. Thornton and Wade are back, but Randolph remains on the shelf and Brooks and Okur have been added to the list of those walking wounded. How long is this stubborn manager willing to hold onto damaged goods? It won't be long before he's completely out of the playoff race.

14. conway429 - Just made a trade in attempts to pull himself out of the cellar, dealing the injured Brook Lopez for some immediate help. Dirk's return has not sparked the anticipated turnaround. A trade that once stimulated a resurgent vibe around this squad has since dropped him into the cellar. He'll need Kyle Lowry to put his legal issues behind him and get back to his early season level of play.

ugh I don't really want to trade him...just frustrated with the horrible/inconsistent shooting %s. He's perfect for my team though...hits 3s, gets a few assists and steals, and scores points. conway, I think I could have topped that...maybe not though without giving up Wade/Griffin/Lee

Dirk will def turn it around
and even Afflalo blew up for 26 points tonight, so maybe he'll get it going now

I don't think you could've topped it, outside of Wade/Griffin/Lee, and Rubio (but I don't need a PG).

I don't have much in the way of primary scorers, or big time rebounders, so I'm pretty much punting rebounding, and points to an extent.
So I'm getting an increase in assist, steals, block, 3s, without hurting FG% and FT% or TOs. Dirk I'm losing points and some rebounds, and Afflalo was frustrating me with only putting up 10 points per game and not much else every day. (I'm actually improving in every category as far as this year's stats go, but Afflalo, and Dirk especially, will likely improve over the rest of the year)

I'm pretty stoked for my team. My roster's changed sooo much this year, and I'm trying to work out another deal with Bob. Stay tunedddddd

WEEK 8 POWER RANKINGS

1. Bob at York - Regains the top spot after an impressive week. I was a doubter for the first few weeks after this team was in the basement over the last couple of seasons, but it seems as though a change in philosophy has pushed his squad over the top. Should remain in the top 3 spots for the rest of the year.

2. JermanJaysFan - Usually with a Kevin Love absence I would be nice, but he still won the categories that Love would win for him. Rough stretches by Ray Allen and Kevin Martin really hurt him, and that's why this team has the 00s Phoenix Suns stigma. Shooters have droughts, and when they coincide, things can fall apart.

3. Saddler the Gr8 - Teams 3-5 are very tight, but since Saddler is first in terms of overall record of the 3, he gets the third spot. Amare is back in the fold. Will this team rally around a tragedy and put together something special?

4. jsumadchat - Continues to show that he's not a fluke. First year in the league last year generated a third place finish, but this manager is shooting for more this time around. Has been putting up impressive point totals all season and showing no signs of slowing down. Has the talent to take down any squad.

5. eagles - Took down a fundamentally solid team, despite the added flair of Linsanity. Continues to survive despite constant injuries to Carmelo. This squad will be scary when he gets a healthy roster. This top 5 may be as strong as the league has ever seen.

6. Gibby - This next group of teams all had rough weeks...but I see most potential in this roster. Shrewd move for Dirk, buying pennies on the dollar, gets him a generous ranking. Will losing KG reduce the intensity this team plays with? I think not.

7. SA5195 - Despite a loss this week, I was impressed by the point totals. I can't make up my mind on this squad, and inconsistency seems to be becoming a trademark. Had a solid week despite missing Rose and Hamilton - I question whether the rest of the team will continue to play hard when his star returns.

8. greg_ory_2005 - Remains in the power ranking playoffs because of his immense potential, but this ranking feels like deja vu. Inconsistency marred yet another week for this talented squad. Maybe it's time for a coaching change?

9. Dol-Fan - Although this team is still near the bottom of the standings, the point totals marked a big turnaround and justify this ranking. Wade is starting to perform to pre-injury level, Thornton is becoming a more consistent threat, and Blake Griffin is performing to preseason expectations. Could things finally be coming together?

10. The Wise 1 - Ginobili's return will be huge, and some late-week resilience gives this squad a surge in the power rankings. Player of the Week Russell Westbrook looks to continue to propel this team towards a battle for the final playoff spots.

11. Mile High Champ - Despite another win, the point totals remain unimpressive. Can this squad rise to the challenge when faced with a true test, or will they fold under the pressure of a more talented opponent? We'll find out this week when he attempts to upset jsumadchat. If he can, this team will be next week's Doritos Rising Team of the Week.

12. Swoop - While he can certainly rebound the ball, this team has consistently had trouble putting points on the board. He will have to top 600 and shoot a better percentage to have any hopes of maintaining a spot in the playoffs.

13. conway429 - Gave #2 JJF a real run for his money this week, but this up-and-coming team folded late in the week to give away a big win. He could have been this week's Doritos Rising Team of the Week, but instead will walk away in disappointment. Will adding KG add the fire this team needs to pull out such victories? Probably not, he's old.

14. Macedonian - Weak point totals, weak record. This team can shoot threes and hold on to the ball, but that's about it.

Andrea has missed 60% of the season. Gordon has been out for a very long time while he has been affected by gallinari's injury for a week.

What I meant to say was that my seriousness of my injuries have killed me (Andrea and Manu). Chalmers hasnt even missed a game. He left the last game with a boo boo on his finger and will be playing this Friday.

That is an impressive list of injuries, but it hasnt affected him as much as you would think once you take a look deeper into them.

WEEK 9 POWER RANKINGS

1. Bob at York - Consistently putting up the Ws. Serge Ibaka capped off an impressive week for his squad with a triple-double...the hard way. This team looks tough to stop, and has the consistency to take it all the way.

2. jsumadchat - Won't wow anyone with percentages, but his guys find a way to win. Team full of stat stuffers has really picked up the consistency, and Deron Williams has shown that his coach was wrong to have mulled the possibility of trading him earlier on. He's kept his players on their toes with threats of trades, and they've responded with impressive performances.

3. JermanJaysFan - Not the most impressive week statistically speaking, but got the job done nonetheless. Channing Frye is finally back to producing, and seems to have incorporated some shot-blocking into his game. Never a team known for its shot-blocking, Ekpe Udoh has come in and added some fire to a team playing with increased grit.

4. Saddler the Gr8 - Tough week, gets a pass in the power rankings this time around, but next time he'll be free-fallin', out of the top 5 for a while. With this dismal performance, he earns the BlackBerry Falling Stock of the Week.

5. Gibby - Gets knocked down, and gets right back up again. He looked down and out at the beginning of the much anticipated rematch of last year's final, but came back at the end of the week and forced a draw. The Linsanity has clearly boiled over in Gibsonville.

6. Swoop - This squad took in personal when they were dropped all the way down to the 12th spot last week. Clearly this power ranker provided some bulletin board material for a hungry squad. Marred by inconsistency earlier in the year, he'll look to rally his troops around one of the most impressive statistical weeks of the season and push forward into the playoffs.

7. Dol-fan - A rematch of last year's final ended in a draw, but this squad led the way for the majority of the week. Some last-day jitters from Marshon Brooks, James Harden, and Markieff Morris led to a blown category (FG%) and a surprising inability to knock down threes for the entire team led to another. However, they also put up some of the most impressive point totals of the year in what was most certainly the Quiznos Match of the Year thus far.

8. eagles - Has demonstrated to me, now, that he doesn't deserve to be in the top 5. While he can be dominant at times, losing 9-0 earlier in the year, and laying a statistical egg this week, will not lead to success in the playoffs. He'll have to be more consistent to see a substantial rise. Clearly, eagles is the Kelloggs CornPops Falling Disaster of the Week.

9. greg_ory_2005 - Here the rankings get difficult. For a second consecutive week, greg did not perform up to his abilities. Clearly, Gallinari's absence has hurt him, and Gordon cannot come back soon enough. This squad is ultra-talented, but needs to get healthy fast in order to make some noise.

10. Macedonian - Finally put up some impressive numbers, another squad that seemingly made bulletin board material out of my obnoxious comments. Could this be a turnaround, or just an inevitable stellar week that any squad will churn out?

11. conway429 - Continues to make trades, could his most recent one have finally made a positive impact? Perhaps. While he didn't put up the most impressive statistical totals, KG's influence and veteran leadership seems to have lit a fire under his team's behinds. Or maybe his opponent had too many injuries to compete.

12. The Wise 1 - Just too many injuries. Hopefully his squad can come back healthy soon, or they will be out of it. Unfortunate since this is certainly one of the most talented rosters in the Premier League.

13. Mile High Champ - As I had predicted last week, the low point totals simply could not sustain any long-term success. Lost this week, and bad. While he may win a few weeks based on poor weeks from opponents, his luck has likely run out.

14. SA5195 - Six 3-pointers? Seriously? LOL.

When the week started, I thought they sucked too because I had some injuries cause me to have a bad start. But in the end, the short week probably helped me win the turnover category.

got baked and fell asleep half way through last night...here we go

WEEK 10 POWER RANKINGS

1. Bob at York - Impressive shut-out even on the short week. Marquee matchup this week, winner takes #1 spot in the rankings.

2. jsumadchat - A bit of a disappointing match on the short week, but it's tough to dock him too much considering his recent hot streak.

3. JermanJaysFan - Made a strong case for returning to the #2 spot, but the rankings weren't going to shift too much without a full week of play. In tough this week against the #4 squad, as we've got all 4 of the top teams squaring off against each other. Perhaps this week will be an indicator of the final standings.

4. Saddler the Gr8 - Although he's been slipping a bit lately due to inconsistency, no other team has put up a fight to challenge the top 4. This is definitely a top heavy league this year, as the drop off is considerable after this point. Will be in tough this week if Bryant returns later rather than sooner.

5. Gibby - Linsanity is dying down, Curry is injured again, Nene is still out and not likely to return to a full-time role this season, but the Dirk-show is back in business (as I predicted it would). Crafty trades and nifty waiver pickups will continue to propel this team. Good coaching can take you a long way, and with Dirk, a championship is within reach.

6. eagles - Put up impressive numbers on the short week to steal a win from a team making a late-season push. Inconsistency will continue to mar this team, however, with low percentage chuckers like Ellis, Turkoglu, and Carmelo at the helm.

7. Dol-Fan - Also put up quite impressive numbers, but was outdone by a streaky squad. Needs to turn those point totals into wins over the next few weeks in order to have a shot at the playoffs, but no doubt this is a team on the rise. Will Randolph return in time for a last minute surge?

8. greg_ory_2005 - Will Eric Gordon even return this season? He seems to be taking his time coming back, and perhaps there needs to be some blame pushed toward the medical staff. This squad has not been able to stay healthy or motivated this year. This owner should consider scrapping his medical and coaching staff, maintaining only the scouting department. Talent is there, intangibles are not.

9. swoop - Shut-out drops you a few spots, even on a short week. His record places him higher in the standings than this, but average point totals and inconsistency keep him lower in the rankings. The team is clearly unhappy with Baron Davis wasting a spot on his bench - until this manager clears out non-contributors, the team will remain unhappy.

10. Macedonian - Remains in the same 10-spot once again, but a win this week over the #9 team will propel him forward. Got a nice win over one of the worst teams in the league this week, but will need to keep it up against stronger competition to truly impress. Dorell Wright has been a colossal disappointment and it looks like Ryan Anderson has come back down to earth. Buying high can be a dangerous business.

11. conway429 - Put up a fight against one of the toughest teams in the league last week, escaping with a narrow loss. A midseason trade is starting to pay off, as this squad is led by two ultra-talented point guards in Kyrie Irving and Kyle Lowry. Can he put up enough of a fight to make it into the playoffs? A win against the defending champ this week will push him right into the thick of things.

12. The Wise 1 - Shrewd pick up of Wilson Chandler should help out once he signs, but Andrea Bargnani's unwillingness to return and Ginobili's new injury could make things real tough on this squad. Can Russell Westbrook and LaMarcus Aldridge hold the fort long enough to keep this team in the playoff hunt?

13. Mile High Champ - Has a way of beating some lower-end competition, but gets blown out of the water whenever he faces a step up in competition. Has not put up impressive stats all year, and now with Ty Lawson injured, things get even more difficult. Despite a cluster of teams after the top 4 being in the hunt for the playoffs, this squad appears to be on the outside looking in.

14. SA5195 - Got terrorized by a below-average squad, and hit TWO three-pointers on the short week. I'm serious. Perhaps even more pathetic than the 6 he hit the week prior. Although he is not in last place due to a few fortunate weeks, this squad has no chance of making the playoffs.

not worried about linsanity, put up solid numbers tonight. Curry and Nene are worries, they never seem to stay healthy. I was happy Lopez came back with a big game. but now Dirk left tonights game with an injury. I can't catch a break.

it is getting harder and harder to do these on time...but here we go...

WEEK 11 POWER RANKINGS

1. Bob at York - In a battle of epic proportions, Bob was unable to separate himself from #2 jsumadchat. They battled to a draw, and barring an upset, we could see these two do battle in the playoffs. A rematch of the Quiznos Match of the Year would be welcome by all viewers.

2. jsumadchat - These two should really be 1a and 1b, they are the class of this league. Other-worldly point totals were not enough to get past a draw with the almight Bob, though he's shown he can beat any other team that challenges him.

3. JermanJaysFan - The last of the elite 3. He hasn't quite put up the point totals as the first two, so an easier strength of schedule has allowed him to gather the second best record in the league.

4. Gibby - Only a game out of 4th place and always improving. Consistency gets this squad into the top 4. Should find his way to another easy win this week, although Brook Lopez going down with another injury could slow him down. Nah, probably not.

5. Saddler the Gr8 - The last of the teams with a true shot at the title. He has the talent, but the rookie manager is finally starting to show his inexperience. Inconsistency has begun to plague this team, but veteran Kobe Bryant hopes to reel in his troops for a stretch run.

6. eagles - Despite playing an entirely unworthy adversary, this squad put up outstanding point totals and continues to prove that, while inconsistent, he can take down any team in this league. My sleeper to make some serious noise in the playoffs.

7. Swoop - Got shut out two weeks ago, and put together an impressive rebound week. Still not sold on this team, as they have extreme difficulty scoring. With Kevin O'Neill at the helm, who is surprised?

8. Dol-Fan - Squeaked out a win against a team finally starting to gain momentum. However, they needed to put together a far more emphatic win, as the last few weeks have been 5-4. This team is on the cusp, but just doesn't have the talent to get over the hump. Make or break week this week against greg.

9. greg_ory_2005 - Narrowly lost to a top 4 team, but just didn't put up the points to make a real statement. Although he is still holding on to a playoff spot, this squad will need to win this week to hold off the #8 team in the power rankings. Pivotal matchup with playoff implications.

10. conway429 - Put up some pretty impressive numbers but escaped with a narrow loss against Team Dol-Fan. Will need a few impressive victories in order to make the playoffs, but things do not look good. This team is getting hot just a little bit too late.

11. Macedonian - As I've predicted through the year, he loses to a tougher opponent, after beating several weaker ones.

12. Mile High Champ - Narrowly defeated a squad decimated by injuries. Will be looking to rebuild for next year at this point.

13. The Wise 1 - Injuries have destroyed his season. He still sits a bit higher in the standings, so a run isn't out of the question if his players can get healthy fast. That, however, is a big if.

14. SA5195 - Seems to be quickly becoming the LA Clippers of the Raptors Fans League. Perhaps he'll be good in 30 years.

I don't even care, I just bought a house. I am so happy.

Oh and if you do win 6-3 or 6-2, I am still #1. I am not concerned.
Congrats man! That's awesome!

WEEK 12 POWER RANKINGS

1. Bob at York - Holds onto first place...for now. His team is still producing, but he has not shown that his team is substantially better than the other top teams. Season performance keeps him in the top spot, but can this squad be trusted come playoff time? A date with JJF or jsumadchat could spell doom for the unquestioned surprise of the year.

2. JermanJaysFan - Made a strong case for the #1 seed in the PRs this week, and likely would have got it if he could have supplanted Bob for the #1 seed in the league. Unlike last year, this team is getting hot at the right time, and that could spell trouble for the rest of the league. Is this the year this talented manager finally wins the coveted RFFL title? If Kevin Martin can learn to play basketball for more than 2 games in a row, book the parade.

3. jsumadchat - A few unfortunate stumbles, and this week produced some of his worst point totals all year. Like Bob, he has hit a roadblock at an inopportune time. Certainly not enough to push him out of the top 3, but there are question marks lingering. There are rumbles that some team members wanted the immature JaVale McGee dumped at the trade deadline. Could they be showing their displeasure with management?

4. Gibby - Made a very strong case for #3 this week as his squad put up a very impressive week. He has certainly turned this league from a big 3 into a big 4, despite a lack of star power. His best players this week, arguably, were Ersan Ilyasova and Arron Afflalo. With Steph Curry and Dirk Nowitzki playing up to their abilities, and the grit and glue of Ilyasova and Afflalo, this is a dangerous team moving forward.

5. Saddler the Gr8 - After a rough week, he had the bounce back he needed to stay relevant. Has the depth necessary to make a deep playoff run, but can the rookie manager get his squad to play consistent in time for the playoffs? Kobe Bryant was the only player to score 100+ points for him this week. Good sign? Perhaps not. Kobe has a penchant for taking over when he doesn't trust his coach.

6. Swoop - Finally gaining some consistency. He heeded the word of the power rankings last week, and shifted Kevin O'Neill to a defensive specialist coaching position, and hiring Phil Jackson to run the offense for the remainder of the season. That change paid immediate dividends, as this squad had its highest point outburst in a long time.

7. eagles - ***** the bed after I gave him praise last week. This team continues to be inconsistent, despite a plethora of talent. Can he get it together in time for the playoffs? Could certainly pull an upset in the first round given the right matchup, but he'll need to worry about making the playoffs first. Key matchup next week vs. a surging Swoop could make or break his playoff hopes.

8. Dol-Fan - Big win this week propels him a step closer toward the playoffs, but the real story of the week was Ricky Rubio's season ending injury, which, unfortunately, came just days after the trade deadline passed. However, Zach Randolph's return next week could provide a substantial boost. Will have to be careful not to fall into a trap against bottom-feeding MHC this week.

9. conway429 - Is this the highest conway has ever been placed, power rankings or real standings? Perhaps. This perpetual bottom-feeder is finding his way up the standings with some impressive performances. The stats have been there for a few weeks now, and the wins are finally starting to pour in. Can he keep it up next week against another team on the brink of the playoffs? An impressive week (sans Kyle Lowry) could propel him into serious playoff contention. Doritos Rising Team of the Week.

10. Macedonian - Finally beat a solid opponent, albeit during a down week. A slight rise in the power rankings this week, however, could be reversed next week as he will be in tough against JJF, who will be looking to assert himself as the #1 team in the RFFL. Can he pull the upset? I really, really doubt it...

11. greg_ory_2005 - Finds himself free fallin' as the playoffs draw nearer. Eric Gordon hasn't returned as fast as once hoped, and Danilo Gallinari has come back below full strength. If he can beat the surging conway this week, he will replenish his playoff hopes, but as of now, he sits in a tough situation. BlackBerry Falling Stock of the Week.

12. The Wise 1 - Gets the best ranking of the three worst teams because he's injured and his team doesn't actually suck. Unfortunately, picking a bunch of sallies (cough, Andrea Bargnani) did this squad in, as I predicted at the beginning of the year.

13. SA5195 - I had a tough time deciding who deserved to be last, an explanation of my decision can be found below...

14. Mile High Champ - Has 6'10" Paul George and still sucks. What does that say about the rest of the squad, the coach, and the manager? I'll leave that for the masses to decide.

Great PRs, Dol. I really was hoping to unseat bob this week, but alas it was not to be so. 2 more steals (ie. starting Hibbert over Udoh) and I would have had it. Oh well, I hope to hang a crooked number on mace this week if I can- I want that top seed for the second year in a row. Regardless, I am more confident in my team as a playoff contender this season over last.

trade deadline has passed but it seems no one knew, since no trades were even discussed...if enough people were unaware perhaps we could extend the deadline a few days, although the playoffs are coming up real soon.

I knew. eagles and I talked before the deadline and then I sent him a deal on the trade deadline. He responded with something else but I never got to see it because I didn't see the response until after the trade deadline.

Yep, they don't :)
But that's hardly mismanagement- I played the odds right.

I really wanted to make you #1, but Bob has been there all season so I didn't want one week to rain on his parade. Skepticism is mounting around Bob, though.

Haha seems that when I'm harsh, the victim turns around and has an awesome week (except SA5195 and MHC, their teams stink)

in other news, I think I will need to start playing like Gibby and Mace, making the most of free agents. 8 of my players have been picked up through the season, I'll have to be even more vigilant now with Rubio out.

I think if you can work out a trade with someone who wants Rubio as a keeper for next year you can just post it in here and if everyone agrees you can let it through.

I just dropped him. Doubt anyone views him as a keeper (he's more of a 3rd-4th rounder in next year's draft IMO) and if they do, he's there for the taking. I needed the roster spot.

he's def available if we reinstate the trade deadline, he's out for 2+ weeks, and with only 2 weeks left in the regular season, I'm not really in a position to save him for the playoffs...
My playoff dreams are still alive tho...

yeah i'll trade him real fast if trading reopens... he's useless to me since I won't be making the playoffs carrying him on my roster

and I can't drop him cause then one of you bums will pick him up for the playoffs...
