View Full Version : Who is now the scariest player in the League?

What player would you rather not face on any of the 30 NBA teams?

Corey

Ron Artest, because he might actually be legitimately crazy.

09-23-2010, 06:16 PM
You can look at it from the defensive side, or the offensive. Im a defensive minded man, but the one guy who can slow down kobe happens to be on his team. Gimme Kobe on the offensive side, and Ron Ron on the defensive side. And the Lakers overall.

You have to be afraid of the black mamba. Nobody has more desire to win in this league. Sure Lebron has the freakish skills but when it comes to game winning shots, daggers getting to line, doing whatever it takes your answer is Kobe Bean Bryant folks. Go to youtube to see all his game winners. Lebron has that one in the playoffs that I can remember and it didn't even matter.

Wade/LeBron/Kobe

Doesn't matter. There is no such thing as "scarier" when it comes to those three players. All three possess the ability to take the game over in minute 1, minute 13, or minute 48. It doesn't matter if they have the ball in their hand or playing defense.

Why is everything about competition? Can't we all agree that those three are by far and away the best three players in the league right now?

LeBron.

I'll be pretty scared going up against someone, who is 6'8, 250 lbs, and is one of the fastest players in the NBA.

It should be illegal for someone to run that fast and be that big..

Why are Heat fans picking Lebron or wade? They can't be scary since they're on our team and why are Lakers and Bulls fans also Picking Kobe and Rose respectively? Are you telling me a guy on your team scare you the most? This just homerish ridiculous...I voted Kobe not because he's better than Wade or Bron but he's the only player I am worried about in the league as a Heat fan. People, cool on the homerism.

i misread your question. the player i fear the most as a laker fan is durant. altho artest locked him down he still managed to get his points.

Wade>You
09-23-2010, 09:40 PM
Went w/ Durant, only because he's the by far the best player on his team. Not like w/ Lakers and Heat were there are multiple players to carry the load.

Howard doesn't scare me as a Heat fan (check his stats vs Heat last year).

Never heard of Nowitshi, but Dirk pretty much plays to the best of his ability and it doesn't translate into playoff success.

Didn't go w/ Rose for obvious reasons.

xxseven72ducexx
09-23-2010, 09:54 PM
Kevin Durant and if you say any differently you're silly...Kevin Durant ALONE and I don't mean with his teammates since you asked "the scariest player" is by far the most talented and capable of taking over a game, not LeBron and not Kobe even though he's still the best. Durant is singularly capable of taking over a game and scoring atleast 30 every night so KD35 is by far the scariest player in the league

JasonJohnHorn
09-23-2010, 09:58 PM
Scariest? That's easy. Greg Oden. That guy terrifies me. I would not want to bump into him in a dark alley or forest at night. He looks like monster. I would be terrified!

This. Stop the Homerism. I pick Wade because as an Lakers fan Wade is the second clutchest player in the game. If the game is close it will be one hell of an shoot out between him and Kobe. Scary to even think about it. I just dont think Durant is mentaly ready to shoot out with Kobe at this point, he hasnt experience enough failure and the pressure might be to much. As far as Lebron i dont think he's capable. If you remmember last years finals the league is becoming the hard nose league we older cats remmember. So not to many ticky tact fouls to bail players out. They actually had to win off skill.

Kobe is the best player in the NBA period! He is so deadly in the 4th quarter and he gets it done when it counts if you want any body in the league to take over a game and win the game for u especially in pressure times in the playoffs of championship i would take kobe over any body ever except maybe jordan but kobe is that clutch. Lebron is close he is an amazing athlete i just dont know if he can carry and lead a team through the pressure and heroic moments of an nba championship except he had no help what so ever so we will see how dangerous and clutch he is this year and the upcoming years he has no exscuses now but i believe that kobe is and always will be better than lebron id take wade over lebron in a clutch moment !

If you are saying the scariest to play against I would have to go with LBJ and then Kobe in that order

LBJ- you dont know what type of highlight reel you are going to end up on... ask Damon Jones and a host of others

Kobe- You never want to be that guy that was known for getting 81 pts put up against you... Some teams do not even score that amount and to have one player score that is crazy

but if you are saying who is purely the scariest player in the NBA right now (overall) and not in a game in game out situation... I would have to go with Kevin Durant... this kid is taking the league by storm and he has just turned 22... his potential is thru the roof

Term "scariest" seems vague.

Could mean Artest, Evans, Perkins, etc or it could mean Kobe, LeBron, Durant, etc.

Not sure if he's been mentioned, but Cousins could become one of the scarier players to play against. If he meets his potential, he could be quite the intimidating big man.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MiPj27Nhew#t=0m20s

But in all seriousness....he has all the tools. He's already shown he has great feet, hands, strength, and length. He has nice touch on his jumper, he has nice touch around the basket, he can rebound, and he is a much better passer than he gets credit for. He had some down right impressive passes out of the post.
