Miami Heat Have Homecourt Advantage in this Series

SEMIFINALS

Miami vs. Chicago
Winner: Vote here!

--------------------------------------
From now on, each poll will have a voting time of 5 days. This applies to each matchup until an NBA Champion has been determined.

--------------------------------------------------------------

FIRST ROUND

Miami vs. NY Knicks
Winner: Miami, 4-0 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=534157)

Chicago vs. Atlanta
Winner: Chicago, 4-2 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533731)

Boston vs. Milwaukee
Winner: Boston, 4-1 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533741)

Orlando vs. Charlotte
Winner: Orlando, 4-1 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=534154)

The total of votes for each team will be counted (all 4 options together) and the team with the higher total wins. Eventually, the result will be the option with the most votes (out of 4 options) of the team that has the most votes altogether.

Example:

If the option which has been voted most out of all 8 in the poll is "New York in 6" (20 votes), it doesn't necessarily mean that New York has won. If New York has 50 votes (New York in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), but Charlotte has 55 votes (Charlotte in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), Charlotte is the winner, although it didn't have the most votes in any of its 4 single options. The option with the most votes of the winner (Charlotte) is the final result.

Let's say:
New York in 4 = 10 votes
New York in 5 = 5 votes
New York in 6 = 20 votes
New York in 7 = 15 votes
Total = 50 votes

Now lets say Charlotte has
Charlotte in 4 = 12
Charlotte in 5 = 13
Charlotte in 6 = 17
Charlotte in 7 = 13
Total = 55 votes
The winner would be Charlotte in 6 since they would have the most votes total overall and thus the option for them that was voted the most is Charlotte in 6 would become the final result.

Miami heat in 6

Bulls will have a great inside-outside scoring threats which will expose Miami's lack of defense in the paint and will open shots for other players. In the end Miami's offense will prove to be too much for them to handle in single coverage defense

The Bulls matchup with the Heat quite well.

Probably more then people think. Our bench is better, bigs are better, and we are younger and more talented (talent throughout the roster) then the heat.

Bulls in 6 or 7.

Your delusional. The Bulls match up very well with Miami. Like I said in my above post, you guys are in for quite a shock.

ok here is why they dont match up well. We can both agree that the Celtics have a better defense than the Bulls right? If you think the Bulls have a better defense then Boston then I would sig that. So, in the playoffs last year the Celtics TRIPLE teamed Wade. Ok, and he had 29.4 PER, 650% TS% 632% eFG% 40% Assist% 2.0 Steal% and 3.2 Block%. Do you really think the Bulls would be able to do stop Wade if the Celtics couldnt even when they triple teamed him? If so again I would sig that. Now Lebron, do you really think that Deng will be able to stop Lebron? Even if they triple teamed Lebron he would pass it to Wade and I already showed you how triple teaming Wade wont work. If you double both of them then either 1 of 2 things happen, pass it to Miller/Chalmers/House for 3 or to Bosh for the easy bucket. If you really think the Bulls wont have to double Wade or Lebron then are the one if for quite a shock....... baring injury, the Heat will win in 5! The Bulls are good enough to win 1 at the United Center.

I really do think that many people are underestimating what this Miami squad can actually do. Take a second and think.. LeBron and Wade are going to be in the same backcourt, with Bosh upfront, and a few quality role players that compliment the big 3.

I just can't see this Bulls team winning a 7 game series.. I only see the Lakers and Celtics as the Heat's only threats.

As I said before, Miami in 5.

I must have missed something. Who did you guys sign?

Seriously, Bosh can guard Noah. Joel can guard Boozer. Damp can guard either of them. Haslem can guard Boozer. James can guard Deng, Korver, Brewer, Rose. Wade can guard Korver, Brewer, Rose. Chalmers can kind of guard Rose.

What we'll probably do against you guys is start

Wade on Rose
Miller on Brewer
James on Deng
Joel on Boozer
Bosh on Noah

We match up VERY well defensively. However, you all have no one who can truly handle Wade or James.

What's your point? I've been a Heat fan since 1990. I didn't know PSD existed until July. I'd been talking basketball all summer with friends and especially on facebook and a good friend who is a real, solid, quality Chicago Bulls fan (I lived in Chicago the last 5 years) sent me a link to the Heat Forum and thought I might enjoy discussing basketball on PSD. It just so happens that he sent me the link after I posted a status on FB reminding everyone that I'd claimed both in JUNE and in 2009 that LeBron would join the Heat in July of 2010.

So.... I'm failing to see your point.

Just because I have Heat in 5 doesnt mean I think they get a free ride to the title. Even if I say they would beat LA in like 6 or 7 doesnt mean Im saying they get a free ride, or if you say that then everybody is giving LA a free ride to the Finals. Actually, most of us realize it has to be done on the court. However, chances are very slim that it won't be done on the court. All three of those guys have a history of performing on the court. What's more, Wade and James have proven the ability to win and take lousy teams pretty far. There is zero reason to believe they can't be that much better with this team.

Does that equal championship? NO.

Does that mean no one stands a conceivable chance of beating them in a 7-game series aside from Orland, Boston, and Los Angeles? YES.

If the were to accually beat Miami in 7, then they would have to do it on thre road. If the Bulls beat Miami in 7 and on the road then everybody should be afraid of them and if they can beat Miami on the road in game 7 they will the championship assuming they stay healthy. IMO that was the Celtics problem the last 3 years. I think if Boston was healthy they woulda beat LA 3 years straight, not taking anything away from LA, but Boston had a 14 point lead in game 7 this past year and do you think they woulda lost in if Perkins was on the court?

Just what i thought.

A thread with limited basketball knowledge and filled with insults. I'll bite.

Where do i start with PSD Bulls fans? The single most delusional sports fans on PSD. Every year they believe their team is destined for greatness. Any player that signs with the team is remarkably better because they are now a Bull. DRose saved Chicago from Al Capone and polio and is the closet living thing to a super hero.

This poll any many other threads show the loyalty and homerism of bulls fans. I remember last year all of the claims they made and fell short. Rose would be an MVP candidate and I remember a thread a Bulls fan posted stating he hoped the Bulls and Celtics would play in the first round because the Bulls would beat them. Just a couple of examples of the relentless homerism that comes out of Chicago.

But at least they were there last year....

This brings me to the Miami "fan". I'm not going to claim that all Heat fans on PSD are summer of 10 fans. But I do know they werent around last year. Never have I seen so many fans come out of nowhere starting thread upon thread of how good their 7 championship team is (who have yet to play a game together.) The Heat couldnt even sell tickets last year and now they have the best fans in the world? Give me a break.

The majority of Heat fans on here either A. Are not from Miami or B. Created an account this past summer or C. All of the above. I'm not saying you can't be a Heat fan from another city and you may have stumbled upon PSD after the signings but when close to 50 users fit this mold, at least half are full of ****. I have friends in Miami and most people there didn't even know that Wade was a free agent or cared. But I can promise you they will all sell out this year. The people of Miami don't deserve a ring.

So what's worse?

This brings me to the Miami "fan". I'm not going to claim that all Heat fans on PSD are summer of 10 fans. But I do know they werent around last year. Never have I seen so many fans come out of nowhere starting thread upon thread of how good their 7 championship team is (who have yet to play a game together.) Just because Bulls fans may out number Heat fans doesnt mean they are the "better" more "dedicated" fan. In a community dominated by hispanics and latinos its not difficult to see why an American sport such as basketball doesnt get much interest. (baseball is the only one) Aside from that argument this city is one that goes after the "show" or the "it" event. (bandwagon) If the team is winning you shall see the arena packed to the ceiling. ex. Marlins world series run in 03, filled football capacity stadium during the playoffs, reg. season. can give away a seat.

I for one can vouch for myself and some others as being True Heat fans from Miami. Dont label us all the bandwagon (nor bulls homers) Go Heat!

I have on countless occasions, praised the knowledgable bulls fan and the long team heat fan because they carry the burden of having their absurd fan bases call their posts into question. I know that there are true, non homer fans on here from each team. But the bad outweigh the good my friend.

Like i said, we are an "it event" city, if the shows good, we'll fill the seats. What most people fail to realize as well, is that Miami is one of the nation most diverse cities in terms of entertainment yet we are also one of the nations LEAST populated "metropolises". Accompany that with the history of other NBA teams (Heat only 22 years old, 1 ring), you can justify the lack of extreme fanaticism.

Just because other cities have more "Die Hard" fans does not justify them being more deserving of anything. You have to look at a big picture, and analyze the terms and circumstances under which they work.

you're missing my point.

The thing that I dont like is half of the new heat fans you will see this season will claim they are die-hard fans. IMO if you werent there for the bad you will never know what its really like to see your team win a championship. The true Heat fans hit the jackpot and deserve every bit of the sucess that is sure to come. The people srambling for tickets and LeBron jerseys now make me sick.

Just remember that both me and you became basketball fans at one point in our lives, and we werent born die hard fans, if this brings in thousands of "bandwagon" fans, then i will enjoy it with them just the same and hope they stick around. neh, just confident, optimistic, excited, allowed to have an opinion, etc...

i mean yes the heat are going to be amazing, but why should we just crown them. there is plenty of basketball to be played, not just this year, but for the next 7. the next 7 yrs supposedly where titles are going to the heat according to lebron. i mean heat fans are allowed to crown themselves but a chicago fan cant be excited and hope for a different outcome?!?

i mean basically its a taste of the heat fans own medicine. i throw out a four word phrase (easy series for bulls) while heat fans throw out 2 word phrases all off season (you mad?). lol, cmon guys dont get too sensitive (not just directed at you Master, just general comments)

No its delusional because of the team u have which is essentially the utah jazz just with a worst pg (yes Deron Williams is better than rose) and a better rebounding center in noah which kinda evens it out more or less as both ur team and the jazz team with boozer had a solid bench.

Now if we are talking lakers, boston, or maybe even orlando okay then its optomism, excitement, etc but not the current bulls team who the only difference between this and last year are an all star pf and a deeper bench while the team your supposedely confident against has the player who beat for the most part the same team in the first round last year with a much worst cast (lebron) another player who has had tough battles with that team in the regular season whom hes had to basically play by himself (wade) and an all star pf (like urselves) oh and a veteran solid bench that maybe slightly worse than yours but is debatable. If it was just wade and bosh with the bench then i could see reason for the optomism (even though we finished with a better record last year and would be even in our acquistions of all star pfs and bench players respectivly) but thats not the case as we got the reigning 2x mvp to add on top of that which easily puts us over the top.

So overall ya its delusional to think the bulls could be the HEAT in a series as is.

Sorry, I should have added a caveat. Sox fans (like myself) are not "Chicago Fans"... at least, they aren't the Cubs fans. I guarantee you that 90% of the insane homer Bulls fans are also Cubs fans and the majority of the sound, reasonable Bulls fans are Sox fans.

And, that's even stretching it a bit. My best friend is a hardcore Sox fan and he's crazy homerish about his Bulls too.

And no. They are not realistic about the Blackhawks. It's just that the Blackhaws are the champions so if you talk about them like champs it sounds reasonable even though it's based more in homerism than it is in their championship. lol.

I say this as a die hard Chicago White Sox fan through my whole life, who lived in Chicago from 2004-2009.

How many games have Miami won?
How many games have Bulls won?
You can not complete a statement when you haven't seen this team you have formed over free agency actually play a game against one of the 29 other teams.
IMO, this poll (including the others) should of been started at least 10 games into the regular season.

It is understandable that a 20 year franchise does not have as many long term fans as, lets say, a 100 year franchise. I'm 16 so I was born rooting for the Heat. A lot of the older citizens just see it as another commodity in Miami, while us, huge fans, would rather go to a Heat game then party it up. We understand that there are bandwagon fans, but we also understand, that as big players in the free agent market that just passed us we had many fans go online to see what the real news was. Just because people signed up July 2010, it doesn't mean they are necessarily bandwagoners, they were just curious. I refuse to believe that people would even care enough to join a site just to talk trash backing up a team they have no connection with. If I ever became a bandwagon fan of the Celtics or something like that, I definitely would not sign up for a site just to support them. Just saying there may be bandwagoners, but there may also be fans that are just more interested now because they have a great team to pay their money to see. I'm a Marlins fan but I never in my life payed to go to a game, because they are just not good enough to spend money on.

Well, as I wrote in another post.

I am a Heat fan, even so, I do not see the team as champions this season, on paper, talent, and players, see them fighting with Boston and Lakers, on paper, the Heat are better than the Bulls, But also, on paper it is written that both are 0-0. So nothing is written. We can not say that the Heat are better than the Bulls because we do not know if they play as a team, or if you take the weak point of the center position. If we are to make comparisons, Boozer, Melo-Rose, are lower than Wade, Lebron, Bosh, if we do Comparisons Lebron-Wade-Bosh, have played together, Rose-Melo, Boozer did not ... Can not say anything yet, NEITHER TEAM, they have not played together.

But I still think that if both teams meet in the playoffs, Miami would win in five games, six if the Bulls acquired Melo.

Exactly, those were Boston, you can not say we will come together to Amare, Lebron and Kobe, in a single team, they're going to win a championship, because we do not know how to be all, the Celtics, joined three major players and they all went well, but does not mean having to Wade, Lebron, and Bosh, Miami fence to be champion. Sure, looking without seeing them play well, it looks like they will be in the final, or will be champions, but nothing is written. We do not know if there will be chemistry, if they play as a team, if Spo able to direct, if the other teams identify our weakness and attacked. As examples, I mention the Sixers, with Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Maurice Cheeks and Charles Barkley, tremendous players, but did not win anything, Darrell Griffith, Karl Malone, John Stockton and Mark Eaton, the same thing. .
