Miami Heat Have Homecourt Advantage in this Series

SEMIFINALS

Miami vs. Chicago
Winner: Vote here!

--------------------------------------
From now on, each poll will have a voting time of 5 days. This applies to each matchup until an NBA Champion has been determined.

--------------------------------------------------------------

FIRST ROUND

Miami vs. NY Knicks
Winner: Miami, 4-0 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=534157)

Chicago vs. Atlanta
Winner: Chicago, 4-2 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533731)

Boston vs. Milwaukee
Winner: Boston, 4-1 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533741)

Orlando vs. Charlotte
Winner: Orlando, 4-1 (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=534154)

The total of votes for each team will be counted (all 4 options together) and the team with the higher total wins. Eventually, the result will be the option with the most votes (out of 4 options) of the team that has the most votes altogether.

Example:

If the option which has been voted most out of all 8 in the poll is "New York in 6" (20 votes), it doesn't necessarily mean that New York has won. If New York has 50 votes (New York in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), but Charlotte has 55 votes (Charlotte in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), Charlotte is the winner, although it didn't have the most votes in any of its 4 single options. The option with the most votes of the winner (Charlotte) is the final result.

Let's say:
New York in 4 = 10 votes
New York in 5 = 5 votes
New York in 6 = 20 votes
New York in 7 = 15 votes
Total = 50 votes

Now lets say Charlotte has
Charlotte in 4 = 12
Charlotte in 5 = 13
Charlotte in 6 = 17
Charlotte in 7 = 13
Total = 55 votes
The winner would be Charlotte in 6 since they would have the most votes total overall and thus the option for them that was voted the most is Charlotte in 6 would become the final result.

I don't think that the Bulls will have any answer to Wade and James, they will destroy them but most teams won't have any way of stoping them so its okay bulls fans. But on the flips side the Heat will have trouble with Rose unless we put Wade or James on him too shut him down!

Heat in 5. Bulls would get murdered in 2 games, 2 would be close with miami winning, and Chicago pulling one game out at home.

Heat in 4 if Boozer is not 100%.

Super.
09-22-2010, 07:15 PM
The lesser of two evils, the Heat.

I can deal with Miami winning a championship, but jesus if Chicago won we'd never here the end of how Derrick Rose is a god among men

Though I am giant Bulls homer and realize this, I also am not stupid. I think the heat at this juncture would take the Bulls in 6 with the Bulls stealing one in South Beach and winning 1 at home.

So you then mean heat in 6, since you only had the bulls winning 2

Although Miami is the superior team, Chicago is the best rebounding team in the league with a lot of physicality, which Bosh wouldn't be effective against. But Wade & Bron would be more than enough. But still, I think Chicago was dominate the boards, with weak interior defense so they can't stop the pick-and-roll, which is why I think Chicago can EXTEND the series to 6 or 7.

But in all, I went with Miami in 6.

Bulls in 6 max.

We have a way better front court. Boozer is better then Bosh in every way, defense, scoring, passing, rebounding blocking you name it. Bosh is one of the softest PF in the game, he cant defend his own shadow.

Noah craps on the Heat and will ave 15 reb per game and completely shout down the paint with his defense.

Rose is getting way better he will be a top 5 player this year. Rose has done more then Wade did his first two years, plus Wade is on the decline. Also Rose can shot the 3 ball now and is becoming of the best pg defenders.

Deng always keeps Lecrab on deck.

Dont get me started on Heat's bench. Haslem and Miller are awful and should be third, fourth string players thus Bulls bench>>>>>>>Heats bench.

Bulls in 6 max, don't want to sound like a homer but I think bulls will win in 5.

LOL wow. Well when all of your far-fetched claims come true during the regular season, THEN we can talk.

LOL @ the Deng guarding Lebron comment. Hahahahahahaa

Boozers for sure better than Bosh, which is why everyone was going for Boozer so hard instead of Bosh. Got ya on that one!!!

I said Heat in 5 to be nice but I honestly think it will be a sweep.

davids22

Isn't the poll decided by taking ALL votes for one team (regardless of how many games) and then just deciding on how many games by whatever category had the most?

For example. Chicago is winning with the Bulls in 7 vote, but if you add all the Chicago votes and all the Heat votes together, it's a dead tie. Even tho Chicago has more in one category. Make sense? Doesn't Miami have to just have more votes regardless of how many games it's done?

Heat SHOULD win, but Chicago will prob take this due to homerism. Honestly I feel Boston is the only EASTERN team that could stop the Heat.

This really shouldn't be close. I haven't been voting in any series yet, because the only one that interests me is the Laker/Heat final. It should be obvious that the Heat are the East favourite and the Lakers are the West favourite... If Chicago homers win this, maybe I'll make a thread (Who would win in a 7 game series? Heat or Lakers)? I place my vote with the Heat here. They should be the obvious favourites on paper.

And before anyone throws a "u mad" catch phrase at me (I still don't understand how that's funny), I am a Raptor's fan, so one would think my anger would be directed at the Heat.
