Scoring Champion for the 2010-2011 Season, who will it be?

heathonater

i think durant is on his way towards winning multiple scoring titles. i doubt lebron wins the scoring title this year now that he has wade and bosh to pass to. i tend to agree with some analyst's view that lebron's scoring will drop but his assists will go way up. meanwhile durant's role will remain unchanged this year. he will still be the go to guy in okc and the guy that gets things going on offense when they hit a rough shooting patch.

The Durantula.

Now that LeBron is on a team with 2 other high volume scorers, I don't think anyone will be that close to Durant either.

Kevin Durant back to back scoring title.

Not that I think he's the best scorer in the NBA though. Wade & LeBron averaged more than KD, and did it with a higher FG%. It's just his team did nothing to alleviate the scoring burden off of him. The Thunder were a bottom 5 team in assists last season, and I expect the same thing next season. Everything starts and ends with KD.

Durant.

Melo comes as a close 2nd, especially if he gets trades to a team (dare I say: Knicks) with their up-tempo offense.

But this award is Duran't to lose. I somehow see Wade making a run at it as well.

With Durant getting even better and LeBron's scoring to likely take a hit, gotta go with Durant.

If he comes to the Knicks () i'd almost guarantee it.

Isn't it crazy how Monte Ellis' initials are ME. Its like he's been predisposed to be a selfish person. With the warriors having nothing to play for, Monte Ellis can win it. The only thing stopping Durant from winning the title again is by how many shots Stephen Curry takes this year.

Gotta go with KD until someone proves they can de-throne him. Monta Ellis takes enough shots to get it with little help.

with curry and lee on the team i think his shots will go down and his efficiency up. i expect (hope:p) 20-22 points with 47-50% shooting

i think kevin durant has the best shot at it

The year Lebron had a higher scoring average than Durant he shot 48.0% while Durant last year shot 47.6%...and had 1 more PPG...so it wasn't huge.

Check his stats.

I did, and LeBron & Wade averaged more than he did on higher FG%, and STILL averaged more assists. Mind you they did that with weaker teammates than Durant had last season.

If Wade & LeBron really wanted to ball hog they could score more than Durant.

It wasn't huge, and Wade was only 0.1 PPG more on 49.1%... but I've just been hearing by the ESPN puppets and PSD posters that Durant is the clear cut best scorer in the NBA, when it's pretty clear there are a couple players who can score like that if they really wanted.

Not taking anything away from Durant though, he should win it since he has the role to do it right now, while Wade & LeBron don't.
