John Wall
Blake Griffin

I think Blake Griffin has good chance to make it with West having only few all-star caliber bigs
What you think?

Wall may get voted in by fans. I would like to see Griffin or Turner make it but they most likely will not.

What do the East have in guards. Wade, Johnson, Rondo, and Rose. John Wall could make it.

Wall is the only one with a chance

If anyone does, it will be Wall... The West is still stacked.

Other than Rondo and Rose, the PG position in the East is pretty thin, so John Wall could make it as a reserve depending on the numbers he puts up and the Wizards record.

I don't think anyone will really. Wall has a very small chance but even then he would have to play like crazy to be an All-Star. Remember guys, not even LeBron was an All-Star his first season.

Where's the "no" button? I voted other because I didn't know what to do. No rookies are going to be all-stars.

I doubt it.

I know the East isn't exactly stacked at PG, but Rose & Rondo are pretty safe bets to be in the game and then Wade, Johnson, Iggy are all ahead of him as well.

Maybe Griffin since some of the elite PF's from the West shifted to the East (Boozer, Stoudemire) but he'll still have to beat out Duncan & Dirk, which is unlikely.

the fact that u think he has a lesser chance than jennings kills ur credibility. he can potentially beat out rondo too but its unlikely

Wall was one of the most popular player in high school and college if he plays good and flashy i can see him getting a lot of votes

there's no distinction made between what type of guard you are, your just guard.so in addition to those guys he has to beat out sg's like: wade, johnson, allen, ect. as well

and what makes his chances even more doubtful is the dislike of voters for voting players on bad teams in,rather opting to choose a lesser player on a winner then one on a sub .500

barreleffact
09-07-2010, 04:56 AM
^ which is still a very thin list. allen is old and jj isnt worth near his contract. jj is decent but wall could realistically beat him out fairly easily

i'm betting your a wiz/wall fan right? he'll get there, but in the modern nba its extremely difficult for a rook to,hell evan's was 20/5/5 last year and wasnt in.

so yes those other g's and as i mentioned it being a sub .500 team most likely(something voters have a dislike picking from).it probably wont be this year

its not bad or horrible thing,he'll become that guy,all star, most likely(has the talent for it).but be patient, its not going to be overnight

lol. ud lose that bet. imo wall is overrated already. hes not elite yet and has a lot to prove. that being said this is the best chance for a rookie guard to make it out east. guards in the east are wade...then a big drop off to rose and after rose its wide open.

west is loaded in guards w cp3 nash deron then curry now too thats not to mention sg's kobe roy. thats 5 right there that are guaranteed it before tyreke to go along w another contender in curry. plus tyreke might have gotten 20/5/5 but he wont have the career close to either of the other 3 to have gotten it. he is good but compared to the history of those who got it before, reke is a fluke

if ANY it would be the kentucky kids

WALL and DMC

wall - because AI woulda started on the team last yr im sure it will go to rose but this kid is a STUD and as far as eastern conference PG's I can only name 2 others that are worth mentioning as all stars (rose, rondo)

DMC- amare was a starter on last years team.....yao may not be healthy enough to play...unless they change the ballot n put timmy at C i really cant name a Western Conference Center of note other than yao/bynum/and marc gasol lmao

You guys are all forgetting Jeremy Lin is a rookie, don't underestimate the power of Asian Americans and China voting just like they did for Yao Ming and T-Mac. Although it would be a shame if come by all star game that this really does come true let's hope not.

No kidding.

It's funny how some people actually believe he could start over Rose or Rondo. Let him play a few NBA games and actually earn a spot on the roster first. I think he'll be a very good player, but he's being extremely overrated without even playing a game yet. Like all rookies he will have his problems and I'm willing to bet he has a high TO rate in his first season, he has the tendency to be careless with the ball.

Also, don't sleep on a PG like Jameer Nelson either. He's not an elite PG, but he's good enough to make the All-Star team if he stays healthy and Orlando is having a good season, like he did 2 years ago.

None.

The one with the best shot is probably Griffin because Stoudemire and Boozer went East.
