He's a 9 year veteran.

His minimum would be around 1.2M.

Would your team use him?

Would any team use him?

What's so funny?

I'd like a feedback if Scalabrine still has a place in this league, or should go to Europe.

Keep in mind he can play some SF too if needed.

Maybe when he was younger. But if there were room on the roster, I'd have Nets sign him.

Although I'd rather Nets trade a protected 1st rounder for Fernandez.

he should go to europe. he has no value for any team what so ever

Why when Scalabrine is the topic, everybody feels the need to start joking around?

Not even for the minimum. Not even for below the minimum and Boston pays the salary.......... Nope, I would certainly not use him.

i dont know people are laughing if he can get into shape he can be good. i remember he was a gritty defender and can shoot the ball. he's better than yi jianlian.

this guy is a proven winner, but on a serious not idk i no the bucks couldnt use him cause of the depth at the 3 n 4 but i think maybe a team thats rebuilding and not in contention with lettle depth at the 4 or 3 no teams come to mind off top of my head

Not sure if the thread is serious or not, but I'll answer the question regardless:
Spurs-no
Mavs-no
No, don't really think either of my teams could use him.

Players that aren't very good somehow find jobs in the NBA.

Exactly. Just because he didn't get minutes in Boston, it doesn't mean there isn't some coach/GM in need of a veteran scrappy SF/PF.

Hustla23

A more appropriate question is:

"Would Brian Scalabrine use your team?"

Spurred1
09-06-2010, 12:56 AM
To be honest, I don't really care about his age, his skills or lack thereof. He can be the mascot-wonderful. At least he'll have a job-a rarity in this economy. I'm not interested in arguing or debating about him, because I've already answered the question. He's probably better than some players currently in the NBA, but I'm not concerned about that either. Best of luck to him. Neither one of the teams I follow would be able to use him. Think I'm done here.

Defintly not, he is garbage and one of the worst player like eddy curry and jerome james. We dont need a red neck in this NBA league.

Jeez. would the signing increase the fanbase?

Scal should join up with Mike James..... form a super duo. hahah jk lol

realistically, his best bet woulda been with Boston, yet their roster is too full already.

In 2k10 he was rated a 38 I think, thats below some D leaguers in that game thats one of the worst rankings. He can hit the 3 though. But no thanks to him ever being on my team!
