Roenicke is the only one who MIGHT have a future on this team.

why the **** are they calling up Lewis.. the guy has been awful in the minors. Call up Emaus or Lubanski and give them sometime over a scrub like Wise

^^

It's just pitching depth. Look at what happened to Minnesota in that 13 inning game. Always a good idea to call up a few arms in September. There's just no harm in keeping him up here, especially if/when Tallet goes to the rotation in place of Morrow or another SP that needs to be shut down.

28's a ripe young age. Aren't you in your 40s?

negative.

He is quickly running out of time. He is one year younger than Accardo

Accardo still not up lol. Obviously his comments didn't go over well. I just heard something about him winning a relief pitching award in AAA this year.

I don't think Roenicke will ever reach his full potential. I was sort of hoping that he and Purcey could work on becoming our future closers.

Worst call ups ever?

Not the worst call ups ever. Not the best, not by a long shot ... but it is not like we were going to call up our young guys in NH.

I was hoping for Lubanski and Emaus, they still may come up for a couple of games. If they don't I don't think Emaus has a career with the Blue Jays.

I'm disappointed they didn't call up Emaus also. The guy has done enough to warrant at least a look, IMO.

I wish they would call up emaus too. I graduated from high school with him and it would be cool to finally have one of our guys make it to an MLB roster.

1. LV is playing today, would one not think that players like Emaus perhaps might not have got the call because of that reason?
2. Perhaps some of these players fall under the same rule that Morrow has: an innings played cap

Point is, melting down over no Emaus today makes no sense because he could be here tomorrow. Also, melting down over a meaningless September callup is pointless anyways regardless of who the player is.

No one is melting down that Emaus is not in the show. Maybe you should just stop falling to pieces.

No one will be on a innings limit unless they are a pitcher. We were talking about fielders, all pitchers have been called up ... no point in calling up the prospect pitchers anyway.

Emaus and even Lubanski would have been better than Hoffpauir and McCoy who are 26 and 28 respectively.

Ok call ups, but I don't get why they would go with it at this point in the season.

Though you may not be, try reading what others wrote in here before you speak for the masses. Just because you calmly mentioned it doesn't mean I'm speaking to you. Perhaps you should read some of the other quotes before you start throwing out your comments blindly.
