Veteran small forward Darius Miles is expected to work out for the Spurs this week.
Miles might be lucky to get a non-guaranteed deal for training camp, as multiple microfracture knee surgeries have seriously reduced his athleticism. He participated in a mini-camp with the Bobcats this summer but apparently Charlotte wasn't interested.

The Celtics worked him out a few seasons ago and he just missed the team.. i was so disappointed... i wish him nothing but the best!

He's still relatively young, right ? I could see him playing next year.

29 with bad right knee.

I'm surprised he hasn't gone overseas. At this point of his career, that may seem like the right move.

Interesting. Spurs have also worked out Jawad Williams.

It looks like San Antonio is interested in acquiring a "tweener' Forward. A guy at 6'8 or 6'9 who plays the 3.

Miles isn't the same player he once was, which wasn't much anyways.

Blame the GM who signed him in the first place, not him.

If someone offered you more money than you were worth, I'm diddly damn sure you'd take it.

He would have received the money either way. His injury was ruled "career ending" which took his salary off of the books but when he played a combined 15 preseason and regular season games combined, his salary went back on the books.

That being said, Portland wouldn't have done that much more in the summer of 2009 had they had more money. It was a lame off season for free agents.

he was decent for the grizz.

I dont see why spurs could not use him 5 to 10 minutes per game for the minimum

Jawad Williams and Adam Morrison will be a good addition for the SPURS..

What a shame it has been for him throughout his career. Him along with Q-Rich and Odom were such a promising an exciting trio for the Clips, the guy has ruined his career with off-court troubles and lack of effort earlier in his career.

Wow, if those guys would have stayed healthy and stayed together...That's one of the 'I wonder' 'What if' teams that never get mentioned. Crazy

elton brand as well....before he sucked. and of course the immortal kandi-man! what a waste. proof-positive that a bad organization can ruin talent.

I agree, you need a solid rock to hold down the end of the bench. He's the right man for the job.

^^^^^^ Agreed. He didn't have much here in Memphis 2 years ago.

Disagree, HC. And decent isn't good enough for an NBA player
