Bunch of pansies compared to yesteryear. Remember when the NBA used to be tough, and hard fouls were the norm? Ahhhhh, those were fun days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hA44Vlj7uc

Matt Barnes is one of my favorite players.

But tredigs is right, the NBA is no where near as intense as it used to be.

Lol at "fights" in the NBA now a days. Pushing and shoving isnt fighting, its pretending you are going to do something, but dont because they cant fight. That and the fact that if you even touch someone your going to be suspended for a while.

Seems like the Lakers & Celtics along with Barnes and O'neal were the main fixtures. Funny, considering now they have joined the teams I've mentioned before :laugh2:

If the Lakers and Celtics meet up in the Finals once again, it will be even tougher and might even give us the old flashbacks of the 80's.

Also think its funny how the guards push a big guy, then when the big guy pushes back they get angrier. If this was in a park or streets where theres no consequences of getting fined or suspended Im pretty sure you would never see a 6'4 guard getting in the grill of a 7 footer and trying to push him.

You sure about that bud. From my experiences out here in Cali, it's us smaller cats the one who are more aggressive and love to get in the grill of a taller guy. Call it insensitivity or feistiness, but smaller players are always looking to disturb the bigger players.

Haha... just watching this vid again, Bruce Bowen's Bruce Lee style flying jump-kick into Wally Szerb's face at 3:05 is probably the funniest **** I have seen in a while. God that was great.

Wally's face on the ground of "THE HELL?" just seals it. Some of the best hits/fights in there, up until the ruiner at 5:45 : [

The Cs have so much more swag than any team in the league. They're like bullies just picking on the NBA. I think that mentality gives them an edge in a playoff series.

I respect Barnes-hes always been a hot head even with the Warriors (I remember he almost got into it with Granger) but he never backs down and doesnt give a **** if youre considered the best in the game (Kobe).

Can`t raise a fist now days, `cause for a simple punch you could get your *** suspended for a long time , therefore - no more even decent fights

Yea Im pretty sure a guy in the streets that is 6'3 185 or around there wouldnt go at a guy thats about 6'10 250 build. You only see that in the NBA because the little guards have their big teammates to back them up, and know nothing will happen because there is always interference. Its good for them to do it because it shows they wont back down, but in reality they would get beat.

You guys call these fights and the players "tough"?

Biggest batch of wussies EVER.

I just can't see these guys out there with Mahorn, Oakley, Laimbeer, Barkley, Tree Rollins, etc. They would run off the court in tears.
