For the Yankees: Ivan Nova NR

I hope the Yankees get swept. Odds are, the Jays will lose one of those games. The Phil Hughes game Vs. Brett Cecil will likely be the game they lose, but itll still be a good game to watch, a real pitching duel.

Who's Ivan Nova? I checked his numbers in AAA and they don't look to bad, hopefully we can hit him hard though. I wouldn't mind seeing a sweep here, and I think it's possible.

2 of 3 for the Jays. The Yanks are hurting a bit, but they are still the Yankees. Should be a fun series to watch.

Solid pitcher who pitches to contact more than he strikes people out. He's got a nice FB with good movement, a good curve and a good change. If he puts it all together he could be a solid guy in the rotation.

4th place comments made me laugh even more...pretty sure he's excited about putting his team in a position to win the game. Not everyone spends ****ing $200 million on payroll, it's exciting to beat an all-star team when you're just an average market team.

Brandon Morrow's 12 K are the most by a pitcher against the Yankees since A.J. Burnett had 13 against them in 2008. Morrow is the first pitcher in the Live Ball Era (since 1920)with 12 K , pitching 6 innings or fewer, against the Yankees.

Got that from espn, interesting stuff

While I am fine with a player showing emotion I was a bit put off with Bautista's display after hitting the 2nd HR. I think more than the tossing the bat and walking out of the box... its the fake "badass" look on his face. He should just keep having fun and not trying to pose for the Yankmee media.

As for Morrow... he is a freakin' BEAST... Loved it when they acquired him, love it 10x more after seeing him for 2/3 of a season. Not bad for his first year as a fulltime starter.

For the same reason Frasor was still getting time in 7th and 8th ahead of Camp for practically the entire season. Cito is big on experience and what veterans have done for this team in the past.

Everybody was screaming to replace Overbay earlier in the year too but that was Cito loving his vets.

Yeah but Overbay has a track record, it was just a matter of time before he reverted back to something much closer to his career numbers. Tallet's track record consists of a lot of sucking, and we're seeing that continue (actually, he's half decent against LH batters. Unfortunately, that's not the role Cito's using him in). I'm not saying you promote a top flight prospect, but there's gotta be someone out there (Scott Richmond? Robert Ray? Both might still be on the DL, but you get my idea) who this experience in the big leagues as the long man will be much more valuable to the Jays than Tallet.

did batista seriously hit another bomb??

No he beat out the throw to second which enabled another run to score and he pumped his fist in celebration. Jeter said something to him but it was hard to see what he said.

Very nice series. Now, if we could only beat the Red Sox.

Fun game yesterday.. our section was rocking all night long.

We left our seats with 2 outs in the 9th thinking we will beat the traffic then had to watch the last 20 minutes standing in the aisle.. fun none the less

Very nice series. Now, if we could only beat the Red Sox.

I was thinking about that the other day. That is really the difference between the Jays contending for the playoffs this year and the Jays being 10 games back.
