Here's how it worked: For every team-season, I estimated their offensive ratings in both the regular season and (when applicable), the playoffs. In the playoffs, I also found the strength of the opposing defenses they faced and adjusted their ORtg up or down accordingly (i.e., if you had a 104 ORtg in the playoffs vs. defenses that had a 104 DRtg during the regular season, and the RS league avg. was 107, your playoff ORtg was adjusted up to 107). Then I subtracted the league average to find how good each team was relative to the mean, and found a career average for every NBA player since 1952, weighted by the number of minutes they spent with each team.

either I am blind, or there is no LeBron in the top 100. Evidence of how poor his cast was on that side of the ball

Mike Brown is pretty deficient when it comes to offense :p

Interesting too is MJ and Kobe ranked down there.

Not that i enjoy this list to much since it puts a Sting in my MAGIC is the GOAT argument.

Maybe they shoudl make a similar thing about DEFENSIVE cores.

i guess MJ goes 1st there and Isiaih 2 with iverson third.

This explains(partly) how a 32 year old Detlef Schrempf had his best season

The defensive one study should be alot more informative, this doesnt really tell us anything we couldnt have figured out by looking at a players stats.
