He's more likely to play in Italy or some other European team than join a different NBA team.

He's already getting up there in age and his team is still the best..

No reason onto why he would leave the Lakers, especially New York of all places.

may be if we dont iwn a ring the next two years he gets nervous about matchint/surpassing jordan ( and shaq if he wins one this year) and may jump.

But is not likely any of the previous things happens So No.

He'll retire from the NBA as a Laker. I can see him playing in Europe before completely calling it a day... Maybe somewhere in Italy.

Now that I think of it..... I'd actually like to see what a past prime Kobe at 36 could do on a Wizards team maybe with a prime John Wall.

I see him retiring as a Laker. The only way he wouldn't is if he tried to keep playing after his age or injuries had left him unable to play at a high level but rather than retire he wanted to continue playing. I could see the Lakers not re-signing him then and some other team giving him a try.

08-21-2010, 05:46 PM
if he hadnt come close to getting his 4th ring today he might, but not the case now obviously. He's achieved the ring goal, now it's all about his legacy. He'll be a Laker all the way.

i agree 100%. i see him retiring a laker. because they have alot of good players and show that they constantly are trying to improve. plus jerry buss is very committed to kobe you saw that with the shaq phil kobe drama he stuck with kobe through what everyone was saying about him and even when kobe wanted to leave buss stayed committed. so i dont see kobe ever wanting to leave. but this is the nba, who here saw MJ playing for the wizards

If he thought the Lakers weren't a even a playoff team I could see him going to a big time contender to get another ring.

Kobe isn't loyal, we've seen that already, he just wants to win

Why does every Knick fan think every top player/big name wants to play for the Knicks???? dont get it

And he's retiring a Laker but I could see him playing somewhere in Europe also...but not for another nba team

lmao its so funny how no matter what the topic it always goes back to lebron. get off his jock and answer the question.

If he ever does play for a different team it would be because he came back from retirement cause he missed the game. He'll definitely "retire" a laker, but i can see someone like him coming back from retirement to play again.

08-21-2010, 08:51 PM
I don't see Kobe playing in Europe he's still got many years ahead of him and will ball at a high level till the day he retires

You know he wants to wear white in the house Jordan built at some point.

i will never see him playing for the bulls, wizards, or bobcats. because like he's quoted in the kobe bryant song by wayne he said he wants to be the best so why be his puppet

Probably retires, if he hadn't gotten Gasol and wouldn't have won those two rings, it maybe would be different.

Just don't retire and then come back. Someone already made that act.

I say he'll retire as a LAKER in NBA but will retire playing basketball oversees like Paul Pierce.

For those who all say he's going to retire a Laker... I thought MJ was going to retire a Bull but we never saw the Wizards coming. So I think Kobe will jump ship and I hope he becomes a Chicago Bull like he intended to many years ago.

Da Knicks
08-23-2010, 04:24 PM
Well whatever happens I hope he stays away from New York, Kobe is obviosly on the decline and will be with the lakers for the next three years. A 35 or 36 year old Kobe is the last thing the knicks need. Seems like people and media always want this old guys on the knicks just because they used to be good. An old kobe with no Pau, Bynum, Fisher, Artest, Odom, Jackson nooooooooooooo f*&^%& thanks...

I think he signs w/ the Heat for the vet. minimum...D-wade moves to pg.

Jordan retired as a Wizard so who knows, but I'd bet on the Lakers as far as the NBA goes.
New York wouldn't be THAT shocking since D'Antoni was his favorite player growing up, but he was coached by him already on the Olympics and won the gold so that might not make him want to change teams for that.

who knows? im sure kobe doesnt even know.... but imo i think he will retire in L.A

as a cliper lmao jk

Kobe's a Laker for life. His legacy is cemented already there's nothing left to do but bag a couple more rings, mentore some young Lakers to start a foundation for a new dynasty, and ride off into the sunset as one of the greatest Lakers/Players ever to do it.

Plus with Lebron and other superstars jumping ship he'll have the advantage of being one of the only new generation franchise players to stay with one team his entire career and have great success like the throwback 80's players.

can't beat that!!
