Shaq and JO have already declined. KG is on a slow decline, but bigs who take care of their bodies and have a high skill level never fall off a cliff efficiency wise. Nash, too skilled, same thing. of the players listed above, probably Vince. But I think there are other candidates too. Artest, Rip, Okur, among others

Definitely not Shaq/JO/T-Mac or Ariza. The first 3 are already done, while
the last one is still young

I'd say Carter

Ariza has been dealt non-stop. Larry Brown once called him delusional. Alot of Gm's are delusional for trading for him. Hes not even a 3rd option i believe and no CP3 (Knicks will get him somehow) WILL show his true capabilities which are limited at best.

Ariza =one of the worst contracts signed in recent memory, put him on a list with dudes making similar cash.Him and Hedo brutal. but hes young he will be way better with CP3

CP3 will be a Hornet this season, I can almost guarantee it. He has 2 years left. There is no need for NO to do anything with him

I think Mo' Williams will decline this year.. as well as Amare (with out Nash)... Also i think Brandon Jennings will decline or wont be as HOT as he was last year

Knicks working hard to get him.

that doesn't matter haha. how can I explain this to you any differently? The Hornets are not listening to offers for Chris Paul currently. There is no need. They just traded away Collision, to get help for CP3. They are not listening to anyone currently

Lebron because he has to share the ball with Wade, and Bosh.

Carlos Boozer

Carlos is not a 20 and 10 guy unless he as a pass first point guard who can get him the ball for easy buckets. Rose is not pass first. I know Bulls fans don't wanna hear this but he is not. He is score first and until he changes that the Bulls won't even be in the same category as the Heat, Celtics, and Magic. Not even better than the Hawks.

Boozer will average 15-16 points per game unless Rose and Boozer build Chemistry very quickly. Deron set up Boozer so easily. Boozer rarely created his own shot. He got easy layups and wide open jump shots from mid range.

The Jazz offense relied very heavily around the PF position and I know Tom Thibodeau is trying to put the Jazz motion offense and the pick and roll in place on Chicago but it will take some time for guys to figure out each others timing and the system. Rose has never played in an offense like this and he isn't a pick and roll point guard yet.

Boozer will suffer in terms of scoring. And he also is going to get doubled more often because the Bulls don't have enough outside shooting to spread the court and Noah can't shoot very well either (Korver's outside shooting does not make up for Brewer's, Deng's, Bogans & Rose's outside shots).

I think KG might have a better year next season... i know its a stretch, and I really don't like him, yet respect him, but it seemed last year that his knee was kinda gone.

Vince Carter... he already declined last year, having probably his worst year ever.

Someone on the cusp IMO is Manu. Great year last year, but his style of play gets him injured, and he's getting up there in age. Still a great player, but although I love how he plays, it just seems as if he's going to be more vulnerable in the upcoming season or two, mostly due to his age and mileage.

Paul Pierce maybe, he declined a bit last year, but it seems more of him just not being in shape. Is it just me or did he look really hefty last year?

If we're talking statistical decline, Bosh will likely see his numbers drop significantly. No way he's averaging 24 and 10-11 or whatever he averaged last year. Prolly more like 18 and 8-9

Manu popped in my head too. But if you look at him, he has only played 553 NBA games, and is coming off a healthy season, with Jefferson there to absorb some minutes. And his efficiency was as good as ever

Bosh because he won't be fed the ball as much this year. His offensive stats should struggle.

As for becoming worse, I think Duncan is going to take a nose dive this year.

to anyone who says Tim Duncan, the dude is a machine. He is the same every single year, and could probably play 40 more years.

This. It won't be Timmah declining any more than it will be Steve Nash.

If you talkin statistics then i say LBJ jus for the simple fact he won't have the ball in his hands as much, He'll be effective no question but his numbers will hurt a lil havin to share the ball with another Ball dominated player(Wade)

Hawkeye15
08-21-2010, 01:55 PM
eh, LeBron's numbers PER GAME may drop (cept assists), but his efficiency won't move at all.

Ariza? Maybe you should rephrase either the list or the question.

Rafer17
08-21-2010, 02:24 PM
Im not sure why Trevor Ariza is on your list. He could be a candidate for Most Improved Player since he is now playing with CP3, who will inflate his stats.

I see Kobe going on a noticeable decline this year. Also, the big three on the Cs.

As for Steve Nash, he gets better with age :D
