IM thinking this.

The heat already have the three stars that decided to ean a little less to join.

Ojk.

Now they can only offer MLE to any new player that wants to kjoin.

Lets say C Paul wanted to join them...

He would have to take MLE for three years before he coudl get a max extension.

that would leave him wiht a 6 million a year contract while the other three players earn 15 more or less.

Now tell me, how can the league avoid that this three players talke with paul.
He signs and each of them every year buy him a pencil or a for for 2 million dollars.
Result Palul 6+6 = 12 millions the others 13 j millions.

I don't think there is a way to prevent player-to-player tampering, without invading every players' privacy.
