Dear BlueJayFanDan,

Copy and pasting pitching matchups was an epic fail!. Take note for next time.

Sincerely,
BlueJayFanDan

I am going to the 1st game of the series!!!! I am very excited. I want to go to all 3 games but unfortunately I can only make the Friday game. I hope we sweep them.

I wanna know how Twitchy always makes the pitching matchups nice... I assumed he just copies and pastes. Didn't work for me.

It takes longer but don't copy the whole thing. You gotta copy the individual sentences.

Our offense will be going up against Scott Kazmir (not worried, he's awful.), Ervin Santana (He'll most likely shut us down again.) and the almighty Dan Haren.

To be honest, the pitching matchups favor them and I see us losing 2/3. :sigh:

I am leaving to head out to Anaheim for the game soon guys. Enjoy the game tonight! Watch for me on TV. I have front row tickets out in right field so hopefully I will catch a home run ball. I will be wearing a black Adam Lind jersey and a blue hat with our old logo on it and I will likely be surrounded by people wearing red but hopefully I will make it on TV tonight. Talk to you all later.

I don't like the sit of JPA tonight. I would think he would know how to catch Zep with all the time they had at AAA... Trade Overbey, play Snider

StayOnBoard

I was under the impression JPA was going to be playing regularly when called up.

Might as well keep him at AAA - even if he hasn't had a good week - let the kid play, he obviously has the potential. Hell - I dont care if you put him at DH - ultimately that might be his landing spot when our other top catchers make it to the bigs

Omg I had such a good time at the game tonight! One of my friends texted me at one point to tell me he saw me on tv so anyone who was watching probably saw me. I was really close to Bautista and Torii Hunter when they were playing the outifeld. Front row outfield seats rule. I waved to Bautista when he came out to the outfield in the 1st and he gave me the 2 finger salute. We bonded and it was epic. Such a great game. Rzep was awesome minus a few lapses. I totally sound like someone who has never been to a game before but I have been to many but never had seats like that plus I am excited about the win.

Jose Molina started at catcher for the second straight game, a game that had originally been assigned to rookie J.P. Arencibia. “I want to maybe let the kid back off a bit and not have him worry about too much,” manager Cito Gaston said. “You’re asking a kid to come in and catch a staff at the big league level. he doesn’t know the hitters. I just might let Molina catch (the majority) and the kid catch the back end.” http://www.torontosun.com/sports/baseball/2010/08/13/15021561.html

By my count, probably 4. I may be wrong though. Everytime the ball went his way I got nervous.

im becoming less impressed with some of our young arms. they dont have any out pitches (outside of morrow and romero), so if theyre not locating pitches and keeping batters off balance, they will get hit hard.

^^A lefty who pumps a mid-high 80's slider isn't enough of a power arm for you? These are just growing pains, remember we're talking about a kid who just turned 24 who has so far put together a very impressive season including some flashes of absolute brilliance. Not worried at all about Cecil.

A 90-92 mph fastball with decent movement is an above average pitch. Add in a plus slider, a good change and a decent curve, and you've got the makings of a very good pitcher. It was a tough start, everybody has them, but most 24-year-old's have more than Cecil has had.

The rotation is fine. It's the bullpen where I'd like to see more power arms. Even having one would be nice lol.
