View Full Version : What player in the NBA do you want to reach their potential?

08-04-2010, 06:55 PM
And who do you see them being like in the next few years?

Greg Oden

eddy curry will reach his potential before oden :)

08-04-2010, 07:26 PM
Stephen Curry -- I don't even know what that potential is exactly: But it's probably the ultimate hybrid of Steve Nash and Reggie Miller.

Serge Ibaka -- Any PF who's athletic enough to dunk from the foul line http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkxeAUJezP4 and block everything in sight is a potential that I want to see fulfilled.

Anthony Morrow: His potential is "the greatest pure shooter in NBA history". I'd like to see that fulfilled, even if it's for the ****ing Nets (no offense Nets fans, but that was my boy).

Greg Oden -- I think he has about three years until osteoporosis hits, so he'd better get on it.

Every other center -- I want the big man back.

08-04-2010, 07:27 PM
All of them. Seriously.
Homer pick is obviously John Wall, who should be way better than Deron Williams.

MY pick is Greg Oden... The Blazers will be so much better if he pulls through...

08-04-2010, 11:17 PM

08-04-2010, 11:30 PM

08-04-2010, 11:31 PM

What about Darko???

I hope he comes atleast DECENT as twolves starting center

i agree.. the guy deserves a shot to start somewhere. he can put up good stats if given a chance. it would be ashame to get drafted that high and not get a chance to start somewhere.

08-04-2010, 11:42 PM
George Hill and Dejuan Blair

08-04-2010, 11:57 PM
Michael Beasley and Darko, the both of these guys were #2 picks and have taken a beaten in the past by fans, media, and team personnel.

Yanks All Day
08-05-2010, 12:00 AM
LeBron has all the skills to average a triple-double, so that would be fun to see.

Dejuan Blair because so many people passes on him when he had questions, and he vowed to play his heart our to thank the Spurs.

JJ Redick because he is my favorite player ever since his Duke days.

08-05-2010, 12:10 AM
anthony randolph and patty mills

08-05-2010, 12:19 AM

08-05-2010, 12:40 AM
Mike F'ing Beasley Needs Gotta DoIt This Year. I remember playing with him up Run N Shoot up in Maryland and playing him in AAU all the time. I always thought he would be better then KD cause Beasley was stronger and killing in high school in a way that no one was doing in the area, Not Even KD was. KD lived up to the hype, shoot he bout to rule the NBA over Wade, Melo, and LBJ when Kobe retire. Come On Beasley You Got DC tatted on your arm, you gotta do better then what you doing my guy. He kills when Wade not playing but when Wade is back its like he is lost. But we'll see what happens.

08-05-2010, 12:53 AM
lebron James
Chris Bosh
no doubt.

08-05-2010, 01:02 AM
Christian Eyenga and JJ Hickson

08-05-2010, 01:06 AM
Lebron James could potentially average a triple double and still has ROOM for development as well. I would love for James to reach MAX potential.

Anthony Randolph of course! (can u say Kevin Durant II).
Danilo Gallinari (the NBA needs the next great white player.....no racism meant).

I don't think he is in the NBA anymore but Gerald Green.
I use to love watching him play, he had so much talent.
others that come to mind are OJ Mayo, And Mike Beasley.

08-05-2010, 01:28 AM
on Houston I want Jordan Hill and Chase to reach their potential, although I guess Chase is already what many predicted he will be.

08-05-2010, 01:28 AM
Anthony Randolph, Rudy Fernandez, Stephen Curry, Blake Griffin, Greg Oden. Curry's been the best so far, not saying he's disappointed but he could be great.

08-05-2010, 01:29 AM
^^^Greg Oden for sure...

08-05-2010, 01:30 AM
I don't think he is in the NBA anymore but Gerald Green.
I use to love watching him play, he had so much talent.

There were somewhat recent rumors that he was trying to get back into the NBA, but I didn't see if anything had come of that.

I still think people are sleeping on Ty Lawson. He's slotted for more playing time this season, including more minutes on the floor at the same time as Billups (who will play the 2 in those situations). With a lineups of:

Billups (or Smith or Afflalo)

...Ty's gonna be racking up assists like a madman, and when he shoots his looks are gonna be wide open.

Andrew Bynum. Still years from his prime as a big man, but finally showed some major toughness. If he can continue to combine the skills KAJ taught him, with his raw physical talents, and NOT get injured...the sky is the limit.

08-05-2010, 02:47 AM
DJ Augustin, Gerald Henderson, Tyrus Thomas

first quarter of the 08-09 season, the kid was working like a beast (guess that's what happens when you find out that guy #1 on your team wants you traded). if he could return to that form, just imagine all sorts of problems the lakers could give any team.

as for kevin, sure, he's awfully scary right now but a little weight added would make him a more formidable assignment for the defense.

08-08-2010, 10:29 PM
Anthony Randolph - dude has a highass ceiling. Big Q whether or not he'll reach it and become an all-star, or just bust.

Anthony Morrow - arguably the best spot-up shooter in the NBA. I want him to live up to become the best shooter. I don't care if it's for the ****ing Nets, though I'm still pissed GS didn't have enough $$$ to resign him.

Stephen Curry - who knows if he reached his potential yet. He showed signs of greatness every month, especially in March and April.

Brandon Wright - hated the J-rich for Brandon Wright trade since Day 1. Was injury prone for 2 straight seasons, hopefully he should establish to become the next KG. KG or bust.
