Nice pickup to solidify the point guard position...I loved Acie Law back in his Texas A&M days, hopefully he can contribute to the grizz

Hey, I'm ALWAYS glad to have plenty of PG's as we tend to run through too many of them during a season. Remember when we ran out and Shane Battier had to run the point ???

I just think it's goofy that Heisley is willing to shell out $800K for a journeyman, yet he isn't willing to give his lottery pick the extra 20% in salary (which in this case would amount to 200K) that every other rookie in the league gets. It's just asinine, and it further proves that we are a bush league franchise.

Although I agree with you about Heisley not shelling out for Henry,...who knows Acie Law could be a diamond in the rough for a measley 800k....Acie Law was an 11th overall pick in the 2007 draft, and has had limited opporunity every where he has gone, but he might be able to turn some heads and contribute if he has a shot.( Not to mention Conley can be inconsistent, and im not sold on vasquez)

Doesn't anyone else think Henry is prematurely a prima donna????

08-06-2010, 03:02 PM
yes! He will get his money soon enough, I didn't picture him like this...

Lol acie law sucks

great pickup for you guys, i've been an acie law fan for a few years and trust me when i say you'll get a lot more than you're expecting out of him.

Decent player for the bech while Grvis recovers rom injury.

Btw how come grizz hacve not made a move for Claderon? since conley is not tha tmuch liked in th city

^^^^^ Hey HC....Apparently Coach is still in his corner. He's an OK player, but he would have made a better backup for us in retrospect. There's no mention of Calderon here,,,,,,do you know something?

08-16-2010, 03:37 PM
solid pick up

08-16-2010, 03:37 PM
he can burst some 15 point games if given the chance

08-16-2010, 03:37 PM
but unlikely he wont get the chance

08-16-2010, 04:55 PM
Oh he'll get the chance, so he'd better be ready. Be nice to add him and maybe get a real chance to go after the PG position. I would think it is open for now and not MC's alone.

08-17-2010, 05:38 AM
Ugh, doesn't really matter. He's the same as any other dude they could put in there. 4 teams in 4 years, and he can't shoot the three. Probably won't help too much in the long run.

About Calderon, his D is so ******, I think it might actually hurt this team more than help.

Doesn't anyone else think Henry is prematurely a prima donna????

No. He is actually a very humble guy and I think its stupid of Grizzlies managment not willing to give him the garaunteed maximum that rookies on other teams have signed.

Vasquez has yet to sign as well so Henry is certainly not a 'primadonna' like you assume. And besides, agents are responsible for handling the business side of
basketball not the players. Henry's agent is doing whats best for his client.

If the Griz dont get things done soon then they might as well trade his rights to some other team
