08-01-2010, 04:31 PM
Mine would be derrick rose!

Has the playmaking skills and athletic ability out the world
and only what 21!?!?! lol

What are yalls?

08-01-2010, 04:32 PM
shane battier. always been one of my favorite guys in the league

08-01-2010, 04:33 PM
Kevin Durant, because hes a beast.

08-01-2010, 04:33 PM
Dwight howard for sure. Has the mobility and athleticism of a guard trapped in a centre's body.

08-01-2010, 04:35 PM
Weird choices from my part but my 2 favorite players are Joakim Noah and Mike Bibby.

08-01-2010, 04:37 PM
Ricky Rubio

08-01-2010, 04:38 PM

Rudy Fernández

08-01-2010, 04:48 PM

08-01-2010, 04:50 PM
Chris Quinn, former member of the heat, and all time nba leading scorer for players whose last name starts with Q!!! but in all seriousness, I love brandon roy for some reason

08-01-2010, 04:51 PM
Ron Artest

08-01-2010, 04:52 PM
Joakim Noah and Shane Battier.

08-01-2010, 04:54 PM
Hands down for me is Kevin Durant.

Why? Because I'm a Texas Longhorn, and Durant was by far the best basketball player I ever got to watch here in Austin. He was loved here and we all knew he was going to be a huge star. He is so versatile, and I still can't believe that Portland passed on him.

08-01-2010, 04:55 PM
Always been Carmelo. I just have always loved his game. DWill would be next.

Mikey Roxx
08-01-2010, 04:57 PM
Dirk Nowitzki and Kyle Korver because they're crazy good shooters.

08-01-2010, 04:59 PM
Weems From Toronto

Superstar has to be Durant.

08-01-2010, 05:00 PM
Lebron... he's the best player in the NBA.

08-01-2010, 05:01 PM
Melo... always been my favorite non Knick (for now)

Oakley's Fist
08-01-2010, 05:01 PM
Allen Iverson and Steve Nash.

08-01-2010, 05:04 PM
Tyreke Evans, Kobe Bryant, Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace, Kevin Durant and John Wall are my favorites outside of Dallas.

Tyreke Evans- Prob my favorite non Mav, he is a very exciting player and will be an MVP candidate for years. Plus he can drive pretty fast.

Kobe Bryant- Best player in the game today. Beside all the controversy, he is the hardest working player in the game, a true champion and a great leader. Top 5 player of all time.

Deron Williams- Best PG in the game imo. He can just simply take over a game.

Gerald Wallace- Very exciting player to watch and extremely underrated. Elite defender and can score and rebound just as well as anyone.

Kevin Durant- Best scorer in the game and like everyone said, very humble. He will win at least 2 MVP awards in his career.

John Wall- I think he is going to be a top 5 PG in a few years. He is a very good playmaker and will be a multiple all star in his career.

08-01-2010, 05:05 PM
Paul Pierce and LeBron James.

08-01-2010, 05:06 PM
Durant. I love his style of play and his humble personality.

08-01-2010, 05:12 PM
Durant. young, clutch, gets to the line. He is a very versatile player.

08-01-2010, 05:13 PM
Durant, Melo, and Deron Williams... any one of those guys.

Durant- cause he's the best 21 year old I've seen in a long long time

Melo- flat out beast, who is arguably the best offensive player in the game. Guy can score anywhere on the court

Dwill- Best pg in the league and if he wanted I'd bet he could average 30ppg. Absolute beast of a pg.

08-01-2010, 05:16 PM
Deron Williams, favorite player in the game.

Manu. Yeah, I know he flops but his offensive game is just incredible.

08-01-2010, 05:16 PM
jason richardson

iverson and bibby back in the day were my guys

08-01-2010, 05:17 PM
Tossup between Durant and Gallo

08-01-2010, 05:18 PM
I'm a "fan" of Lebron, most of the time, only when the Lakers or Kobe are not involved in the same sentence as him.

But without a doubt, it's Dirk for me.

John Walls Era
08-01-2010, 05:18 PM
Kevin Durant. Pretty simple: Nice kid, great player.

08-01-2010, 05:20 PM
Kevin Durant, Ty Lawson, Tyler Hansbrough (for his UNC days) and Raymond Felton.

08-01-2010, 05:20 PM
Kevin Durant is my favorite player in the league including all Knicks.

08-01-2010, 05:21 PM
Jason Williams because of his passing skills in his days with Sacramento and Memphis. My other two favorite players (Mike Miller and Lebron) joined the Heat this summer.

08-01-2010, 05:22 PM
Duncan for sure. He is an all-time great, but he isn't pompous about things at all.

08-01-2010, 05:23 PM

Yes i am a philly fan, i should HATE the guy, but as a BASKETBALL fan it doesn't get any better than Bryant. He plays the game perfectly, the right way. And he improves a facet of his game every year and it shows. It's not like when Dwight Howard gets a new freethrow coach but still bricks everytime.

When Kobe met with Hakeem he took his training to heart and i even saw the dream shake a couple times from him this year.

He puts in the work and is a true student of the game. IQ, Talent, and Athleticism.

If you're not a fan of Kobe Bryant, you're not a fan of the game of basketball.

08-01-2010, 05:25 PM
Chris Paul :)

08-01-2010, 05:25 PM
Durant & HOward. Real Humble super starts.

08-01-2010, 05:25 PM
durant, t.evans, westbrook

08-01-2010, 05:25 PM
and d12 that guys is funny

08-01-2010, 05:28 PM
Chris "Birdman" Andersen! He brings so much energy to the Nuggets when they need it.

08-01-2010, 05:31 PM
im pretty surprised more people didnt say Steve Nash. Hes one of the most likeable people in all of sports

08-01-2010, 05:32 PM
brandon roy... love his game and he knows how to carry himself on and off the court

08-01-2010, 05:36 PM
Marcus Camby...he;s kind of a throwback

08-01-2010, 05:37 PM
Dirk Nowitzki, great player and a great loyal teammate.

08-01-2010, 05:38 PM
Deron Williams becayse he has it all, the handles, strength, size, can shoot, can dunk, just about everything. He is a raw talent.

08-01-2010, 05:39 PM
Kevin Durant

08-01-2010, 05:41 PM
im pretty surprised more people didnt say Steve Nash. Hes one of the most likeable people in all of sports

Yeah Steve Nash is one of the most respectable players in the league, if not THE most.

he should get out of phoenix though, he deserves a championship more than anyone.

08-01-2010, 05:46 PM
Dwyane Wade. Always loved his game and humility.

08-01-2010, 05:48 PM
jamal crawford or stephen curry

08-01-2010, 05:49 PM
Kevin Durant.

I picked him late in the 3rd round for the 2008-2009 fantasy basketball season. He ended up being my best player (ahead of Yao, was was healthy for the entire regular season, and Brandon Roy, my 2nd pick). He finished in the top 5 statistically and was the sole reason my team went as far as it did. Since then he's only given me more reasons to like him as a player.

I also really like Roy.

08-01-2010, 05:50 PM
mine are aaron brooks, stephen curry and brandon roy

brooks and curry because my actual game is really similar to theirs

roy just because i think hes really tough and clutch

08-01-2010, 05:57 PM
Chris Paul

08-01-2010, 06:02 PM
Rondo and Bogut.

Rondo: Amazing hustle and is probably the best defending PG in the league.

Bogut: Former U of U player and IMO is the 2nd best Center in the game (behind Dwight).

08-01-2010, 06:08 PM
Lamar Odom

versitile, can play many positions, can play with both hands, unselfishly took bench role two years with pending free agency coming

08-01-2010, 06:09 PM
Kevin Durant because he seems like a very humble and down to earth kind guy. That and hes a beast

Ramon Nivar
08-01-2010, 06:11 PM
Charlie Villanueva

08-01-2010, 06:14 PM
Adam Morrison, Raymond Felton, Michael Beasley and Jason Kapono

08-01-2010, 06:17 PM
LeBron James

08-01-2010, 06:30 PM
Amar'e. I think the reason is pretty obvious.

08-01-2010, 07:02 PM
Neither of my 2 favorite players play for my favorite team - Allen Iverson and Brad Miller.

Iverson is the reason I started watching basketball. Growing up near Philly, he was immensely popular around here. When the Sixers were making the playoffs early in his career, I figured I'd watch (even though I had basically no basketball knowledge), and I just ended up loving the sport and became an instant fan.

Brad Miller is a bit random. The Kings are my favorite team, and he was my favorite player on the Kings. Even though he's no longer on the team, I still like him. (Same with Bibby and Kevin Martin)

08-01-2010, 07:04 PM
Barbosa :D

08-01-2010, 07:07 PM
Delonte West ;)

08-01-2010, 07:13 PM
Rajon Rondo and Chauncey Billups..

08-01-2010, 07:45 PM
Kevin Durant. Classy guy that knows how to play the right way.

08-01-2010, 07:50 PM
carmelo anthony,he is a total beast and very underrated IMO.

08-01-2010, 07:53 PM
Durant. Has a good all around game, but has a great work ethic. He's young too, and seems like a good guy in general as well. Watching him play is always entertaining (except when he plays NY).

08-01-2010, 08:02 PM
Hands down Kevin Durant. Don't think I have ever seen a player like that; with that height play as smooth as he does.

08-01-2010, 08:08 PM
Rose and roy...simply problematic skills...

08-01-2010, 08:09 PM
Kobe Bryant.

He's the reason why I like and play basketball.

08-01-2010, 08:15 PM
Chris Quinn, former member of the heat, and all time nba leading scorer for players whose last name starts with Q!!!

08-01-2010, 08:22 PM
Steve Nash, use to be on my favorite team.

Kevin Durant, great person, also former Longhorn :).

08-01-2010, 08:25 PM
Kevin Durant for sure

08-01-2010, 08:37 PM
Easily Deron Williams. I've always loved his game, and since they came into the league I've always had Deron over Paul. It's no knock on Paul's game, but I feel he was always the better PG.

08-01-2010, 08:41 PM
well if i wasnt die hard lakers fan id love to say RONDO... been watchin him ball since college and hes so sick... wish he was a laker; but other than him its a two way tie between KD and Dwade ... two of the illest ballers; KD = FUTURE

08-01-2010, 09:07 PM
CP3! just always enjoyed his game since watching him at Wake Forest.

Dallas Tx4Life
08-01-2010, 09:08 PM
LeBron James, hands down, no contest.

08-01-2010, 09:27 PM
Steve nash and manu

steve is us amazing
i love manu's game and what we bring sand sacrifices for spurs
D wade he is a beast, his drive and finish and step back is beauty

08-01-2010, 11:16 PM
michael jordan

08-01-2010, 11:29 PM
Brandon Roy. His game is so incredibly smooth. Hoping for Turner to blossom into something like him:pray:

08-01-2010, 11:37 PM
Jameer Nelson. He is small but he is powerfully built. Plays with a chip on his shouders, can score from anywhere on the court, can attack the rim against bigger players, and he is a humble guy when he gets going Orlando are always tough to beat.

08-01-2010, 11:40 PM
Dwight Howard. I love dominant big men, and I love the way he carries himself on and off of the court.

08-01-2010, 11:56 PM
Rondo, I love his game

08-01-2010, 11:57 PM
Kobe and Durant

08-01-2010, 11:58 PM
I Love Vince Carter, But I Wouldn't Want Him On My Team For $15 Million , Maybe If This Was 2001 I'd Be All For It. I'd Have To Say Jason Kidd, If We're Going Favorite Players And Not Who I Wish The Celtics Had In Order To Make Them Better. That Would Be Like, Dwayne Wade.

08-02-2010, 12:01 AM
used to be lebron james.. because he is amazing.

now its kevin durant.. i think since bron took a step back, durant is ready to become the next face of the nba..
if okc can keep that core, titles will follow as soon as kobe and phil say their done..

Ollie Tabooger
08-02-2010, 12:03 AM
Aaron Brooks.

1. I watched him at Oregon and thought he was awesome.
2. I don't like rooting for big name superstars that everyone else roots for.

08-02-2010, 12:07 AM
I dont have a team but i have liked Brandon Roy since UW and Durantula since texas.....B roy cause he is just so smooth and makes things look easy......Durantula he kinda reminds me of one of my faves t-mac more aggressive though

08-02-2010, 12:08 AM
stephen curry...the only reason i watched and was moderately interested in college basketball.

Dade County
08-02-2010, 12:17 AM
Chris Paul and Carmelo........

They can highjack quarters at will, and get the best defenders into foul trouble......... with ease.

I really hope these two team up someday.......... maybe with a dominate center. But that would take a miracle to happen, or maybe just a little bit of Walt Disney MAGIC lol

08-02-2010, 12:19 AM
Steph Curry! That kid can ball!

08-02-2010, 12:19 AM
Steve Nash

08-02-2010, 12:24 AM
Durant, D-Will, B. Jennings

08-02-2010, 12:44 AM
Durant for all the reasons already stated and he's only gonna get better.

08-02-2010, 12:53 AM
Kobe, I live in Lower Merion and know an old teamate of his, and I love watching him play and the Lakers.

And Rondo, he's fun to watch and plays hard.

08-02-2010, 01:15 AM
Kobe with Wade in a close 2nd...Check in the 2nd if you need to know why

08-02-2010, 01:26 AM
Kobe, he knocks down shoots on defenders that just leave you asking how the hell did he do that !

08-02-2010, 01:34 AM
Tracy mcgrady abd dwade on the lakers thats just how i want it and dwight howard wouldnt be bad either

08-02-2010, 02:20 AM
Kevin Durant! Super talented...

08-02-2010, 02:24 AM

08-02-2010, 02:30 AM
Kevin Durant.. Go figure.

08-02-2010, 02:56 AM
rondo. hard nosed defender and great playmaker. imo the best PG in the game. although i admit i have not seen much of deron williams game.

08-02-2010, 03:25 AM
Anthony Morrow. Why? I do not know

08-02-2010, 04:22 AM
rondo. hard nosed defender and great playmaker. imo the best PG in the game. although i admit i have not seen much of deron williams game.

Deron Williams is great, but I agree with Rondo, that guy is just money in bigtime situations.

08-02-2010, 04:31 AM
Rajon Rondo: Because he plays with a natural flair and values the importance of doing the little things to help his team win and not just the stat sheet after the final buzzer.

08-02-2010, 04:43 AM

08-02-2010, 05:06 AM
Durant coz he is just to god

Melo coz he is a beast

08-02-2010, 10:49 AM
Durant call me a homer. I love this kid.

08-02-2010, 10:51 AM
Probably Deron Williams, he has mad skills and makes things look effortless.

08-02-2010, 10:57 AM
Probably Deron Williams, he has mad skills and makes things look effortless.

Was having a hard time picking between Durant and dWilliams.

08-02-2010, 11:05 AM
nash. cuz hes a future HOF, a top 5 pg in the league at his age, and above all hes Canadian. lol.

08-02-2010, 11:16 AM
Gerald Wallace, who is my favorite player of all time. Why? Because he plays with all out hustle and has no regard for his own body. He's lead SF's in rebounding the past 2 years and even averaged double digit rebounds last year. He gives 100% effort on every play, both offense and defense. He's the player that every coach should want to have on their team.

08-02-2010, 11:27 AM
Rondo and Artest. Love me some defense lol

08-02-2010, 11:35 AM
My favorite team is Portland. My favorite player not on that roster is Russell Westbrook, because he's shown the ability to be a carbon copy of Jason Kidd (albeit not as good of a passer... yet).

08-02-2010, 11:36 AM

TO me Wallace is the closest thing we have to the WORM in the NBA now.

08-02-2010, 11:40 AM
Nash and Durant. Nash because of his vision and tenacity. Durant because he appears to have the same approach and work ethic of some of the greats...and he's not daunted by the challenge of having to beat the best in order to get his championship.

08-02-2010, 12:30 PM
Carmelo Anthony.... the guy has absolutely no offensive weakness

08-02-2010, 12:39 PM
Kobe Bryant - He's the best player in the game, it's just that simple, there is nothing that Kobe Bryant can't do, he will defend your best player, he will shoot from the perimeter, he will get all in your mug, he will do whatever it takes, he is the most complete basketball player in the game today bar none, he has an assassin's mentality. Who's starving more for an NBA world championship more than Kobe Bryant, there is no one, this guy is highly motivated and that's what seperates Kobe from the pack.

08-02-2010, 12:42 PM
Carmelo Anthony.... the guy has absolutely no offensive weakness

Yes, he does. He is 20th in PER despite being 5th in shot attempts and usage percentage.

08-02-2010, 12:46 PM
deron williams is my favorite player in the nba, not just not on my team. actually, allen iverson is but hes not really around anymore

08-02-2010, 12:51 PM
Birdman and Lewis

08-02-2010, 02:35 PM
Ronnie Brewer. For a nonformer Jazz player, Andre Iguodala, Luke Rinour, or Corey Maggette.

08-02-2010, 02:44 PM
kobe..... because hes kobe

Laker Legend42
08-02-2010, 04:03 PM
I like D. Wade. This dude is fearless. I like guys that don't come across as a fan of the guy he has to play against. That's what I don't like about S.Marion and M.Redd. These are the prez and vice prez of the Kobe Bryant club. I also like Melo. When he's right he can be unguardable. Small guys get posted up and bigger guys get ran by. When Lebron gets a post game he will take over the leauge.

08-02-2010, 04:13 PM
kobe. he's a winner, an amazing player and has swagger that's unreal.

08-02-2010, 04:16 PM

My reasons for liking him is because hes just relentless when hes on that court. Being a bulls fan most of my life he reminds me in some ways of Jordan. Of course he doesn't come close but some of his moves reminds me so much of MJ and when I noticed that back in 05 I liked him ever since

08-02-2010, 04:18 PM
mine would still be lebron james even though ever one hates on him and people dont understand its his life and hes doin wat best for himself to win championships but keep hating that how its goes down

08-02-2010, 04:24 PM
Chris paul or wade

08-02-2010, 04:39 PM
Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, and Kobe Bryant.

AI because I am a Georgetown fan, so he's always been a favorite of mine, plus in his prime it was great to watch the speed, athleticsim and hustle.

Carmelo because I am from NY and he played ball at syracuse and I really enjoy his game, he should have been picked number 2 overall by the Pistons, dumb move Coach brown.

Kobe, because he is a beast in the 4th qtr. and is a proven winner, doesn't ever quit, best player in the league right now.

Red Hot Rolllin
08-02-2010, 04:47 PM
Kevin Love

Old school game takes me back. Doubl doubs

08-02-2010, 05:03 PM
Melo i love his swag and he is an amazing basketball player

08-02-2010, 05:04 PM
Rajon Rondo, the guy is a true Celtic through and through.

08-02-2010, 05:33 PM
Melo, CP3, DWill, Rondo, Dwight Howard

Rajon Rondo, the guy is a true Celtic through and through.

Yeah. This dude can do some pretty crazy things with a basketball. As much as it pains me to say but he's my favorite Celtic.

08-02-2010, 06:06 PM
kobe. he's a winner, an amazing player and has swagger that's unreal.

Anyone who shoots a shot in one of your best players face, Then taps your head coach on the rear in a playoff game has unreal swagga for sho!

08-02-2010, 06:16 PM
Chris "Birdman" Anderson! Great energy player and crowd pleaser. Also has a great instinct for blocking shots.

08-02-2010, 06:38 PM
Chris Paul. Of course, that's kinda a homer pick considering he played here for 2 years. He got his start right here in OKC. Who would have thought we'd replace one special player with another.

Lloyd Christmas
08-02-2010, 06:41 PM
Brian Cardinal AKA the Custodian

08-02-2010, 07:10 PM
Chris Paul - Absolutely entertaining on both sides of the floor. His ability to break down the defenses is amazing. His willingness to involve his teammates in the offensive end is worth noting considering that he could very well just score the points by himself. Reminds me of how Iverson could have been if he chose improve his ability to involve his teammates in the offensive side of the floor.

Kobe Bryant - I was initially annoyed by his cockiness, but has eventually won me over with his passion for the game. The man is always working to improve his game & measures success with his team's accomplishments. Thrives in both the physical & cerebral part of the game. Has eventually developed the leadership skills that he used to lack during the Shaq-era in L.A.

08-02-2010, 07:20 PM
Steve Nash. Guy is a true gamer, always plays hard, and is always respectful to the media and fans. Plus he's really funny.

Edit: Actually I forgot Kirk Hinrich is no longer a Bull, so Kirk Hinrich ;)

Also like Durant, Shane Battier, pretty much anyone who plays the game the right way and is respectful and humble. Oh and I forgot D-Will (Illinois' Finest) since I go to Illinois.

08-02-2010, 07:42 PM
i'd say that kobe, rondo, and durant have come up the most. all 'best in the game' material. good stuff.

08-02-2010, 07:48 PM
As a Heat Fan I refuse to root for anyone else in the East.

My favorite player other than D.Wade has to be D.Williams of the Utah Jazz.

He is by far one of the Top 3 PG in the NBA and is deserving of a mention in that category.

My only fear is that he's on the Jazz and will waste his prime years playing there. Would love to see him play for a championship caliber team.

08-02-2010, 07:54 PM
Carmelo. he just seems like such a hard working, humble, but yet funny guy.

08-02-2010, 09:32 PM
Being a Rockets fan, I would have to say Kobe Bryant. Not only is he currently the best player in the NBA with the track record to prove it, but he is by far one of the most professional and calssy players in my oppinion.

08-02-2010, 10:13 PM
Aaron Brooks or Gerald Wallace, Dont know why.

08-02-2010, 11:01 PM
Wade, his 2 step is pure awesome.

08-02-2010, 11:06 PM
Steve Nash. Great guy off the court. On the court, great passer and just a tough dude. I'm convinced if he ever broke his arm in like 5 places, he would still finish that game.

08-03-2010, 12:29 AM
I have 3.

Durant:Guys just amazing and all around seem like a chill dude.
Nash: I idolize this guy.
D-Will: Just looks so smooth man smooth.

Nets fan 93

LeBron James.
