Jordan is a hater for answering a question in an interview?

DenButsu

If he's willing to be honest about himself and his game: A minimal bench player on a contender.

If not: It will be hard to watch, for those of us who like him. It'll be sad.

it depends on if he is willing to accept a bench role...if he is i could see him coming back...but only for the min and a bench role

They drafted his replacement in 2008, and they signed Shaun Livingston to be his backup. And if you really think AI is and can be a PG in Larry Brown's system...then good lord.

Iverson could have been a nice help to that bench. he bailed out though and went to the worse 76ers. Not a guy I would want playing for my team. maybe 10-7 years ago.

You obviously didn't follow the grizz last year because AI just plain quit on us...He wanted to start right away and he didnt even participate in any practices because he was coming off a pulled hamstring... Thats why his minutes were limited for the first few games, if he had just played his part, he would have been starting within a month.

Intelligent post. He surely has far more games left in him to meet any ambitions that he has. Iverson is in a fantastic shape, better than he was last year.

i think he would be REALLY good in boston. he would be able to except a bench role there. the only reason i dont see it happening is because of robinson. but i think he would be good there because there are the big 3 that could keep him in line. he needs to be with players he respects not some young guys that he feels he doesnt have to answer to. another team that i think he could flourish in is the magic. they need a bench player that can put up points in bunches and thats what a.i. brings. plus they are a good contender. i want him to goto L.A. or Miami so bad because those are the biggest threats to win a championship and as a kid i used to love watching a.i. and its sad to see him not win a ring. but they both wont take a chance on him for his past actions but a.i. ruined that by his past actions and the nba has a good memory. if your a hard worker and good teammate you will get rewarded for your actions and a.i. didnt do that. so you reap what you sow...srry a.i. you prob. will never get a ring.

are you on crack when they would go against teams like miami, atlanta, orlando, L.a., OKC would run circles around these guys. shaq is 38, a.i. is washed up, and tmac is at the end of the line. they would be tired as hell at the end of games the might come out competing against elite teams at the start but at the end of games they would be exhausted. this will never and should never happen...stick to being gm in nba 2k because its not looking so good on PSD

stepping it up is what the lakers did this season in the finals when kobe couldnt do it by himself. you are asking these guys to do something that isnt within their means. all of them have had a steady drop in the past seasons not due to lack of interest. they are just getting old you cant tell our body not to get old. yes even kobe, lebron, durant etc are all goin to get old its just what happens. maybe we can just get jordan, bird, and ewing to come out of retirement and play for the t'wolves they all have to step up and they can win. get the f out of here lol

Your argument about aging is not appropriate. Larry Bird, Ewing, and Jordan have not played competitive basketball for several years. They are not in shape, they need a lot of training time to get their bodies to respond to their desires. Shaq, AI and Tmac are asking for the right opportunity to demonstrate their basketball prowess. They are healthy and in top form. Aging is exponential and not precipitious, and the rate of aging is very, very, very, very low at 30+. Infact aging may not exist at 30+ i.e. no cellular degradation.

IDK his landing spot but I sure hope he gets a team.. wen i see guys like AI and Tmac cant find a team after all they did for the game in the early 2000s it jus shows how the league doesnt embrace its talent and doesnt appreciate players.. Those guys, and kobe, shaq, duncan, KG, etc they change the game..

I hope it's to a contender, but teams don't trust him and I really don't know why. He's gotten a bad rap and those are hard to shake in the NBA.
Even for the amount of talent AI has left, he's still better than a lot of players in the NBA.
I'd like to see him in a 6th man role, the 1st NBA MVP and 6MOY.

The only teams who I could imagine him playing for are:

The Bobcats
Indiana (They can do a lot worse at PG)
The Lakers (He could fit here with strong personalities, but this probably far form possible)
these teams could all get desperate:
Sacramento
New Orleans
Cleveland

I just hope he has a place to play 25-30 mins a night.

Not sure where you're getting this from, aging does happen after 30, atleast from an athletic standpoint. Once you pass your prime, you are no longer the same athlete that you used to be. T-Mac, AI, and Shaq can all still play, but it's nowhere near what they used to be able to do.

Okay, here's the hard, cold truth for AI loyalists:

As a starter, he is finished in the NBA.
It will NEVER happen again. Allen Iverson's day in the sun is finished. The best he will ever be, from here on out, is a good 6th man.

As a bench player in a limited role (not unlike what Nate did for Boston last season):
He's got a shot at doing something like that if he accepts that role.

As a family man and a father (and as an egomaniac, which he is), the best thing he probably could do would be to let a European team sign him up. He would be the definitive star of whatever team signed him. He would make more money there than he could in the NBA. He could reclaim a little bit back of that old glory he used to hold. Going Euro is really what he should do, if he has any sense.

I like Allen. I think, actually, he's a fundamentally decent human being, and I wish well for him. He's pretty much good people (definitely better than he himself used to be). But he'll never be on a marquee again in the U.S. I hope, for his sake, that he understands that.
