View Full Version : ESPN: Will Bynum 3 year $10.5 million contract with Pistons

The Pistons have reached an agreement to re-sign guard Will Bynum to a three-year, $10.5 million contract.
Bynum has been a work horse for the Pistons and some folks think he's better suited to run the point than Rodney Stuckey. He also has a 26-point fourth quarter to his credit in a 2009 win over Charlotte, and had 20 assists in a win over Minnesota last year. He can play, but may not get enough minutes to make a big fantasy impact.

EDIT:

The Detroit News cites a team source saying that Will Bynum's deal with the Pistons is worth $9.75 million, not the $10.5 million previously reported.
That may slightly alter the catering plan at Bynum's celebration party, but it won't do anything to change his fantasy value for the upcoming season. Bynum is expected to back up Rodney Stuckey and should only be worth consideration in deeper fantasy leagues.

3 years and 10.5 is not bad at all for the Pistons.

Good deal.

Oh yeah that's a really nice deal for the Pistons. Bynum's a very solid backup PG.

Very reasonable for both parties. Bynum is not a sexy name, but he is an effective player for a rebuilding team.

The Pistons locked up Will Bynum for a reasonable price. Good move.
