Angels starter Dan Haren, who left his first start for the club Monday after being struck on the right forearm by a line drive, expects to start against the Rangers Saturday, according to the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett.

After X-rays of his right arm and an exam by orthopedist Dr. Lewis Yocum showed no serious injuries, Haren told reporters he planned to pitch Saturday.

"If this is as bad as it's going to feel, it should be fine by Saturday," Haren told the Register.

If Haren can pitch Saturday, the Angels should lineup with RHP Ervin Santana, Haren and RHP Jered Weaver over the weekend.

Haren, who was acquired Sunday, was hit by a Kevin Youkilis line drive in the fifth inning of his first start for the Angels on Monday. He immediately left the game.

Bring it on Haren! I don't want any excuses when we play in October and not the Angels!
