This man is a beast! I would love to have him on my team! He reminds me a lot Shawn Marion, and Chris Anderson, because of his athleticism, and energy ! Any news on why he is taking so long?

Because he's not very good at much else apart from jumping.

Why is Shannon Brown not signed?

Most of the NBA teams are looking for better options via trade or free agency.

I think he wants a lot of $$$ too. I know some teams are looking at him and I'm sure he'll land somewhere eventually, just may take some time.

I didnt expect anything different? Everyone signed ahead of him has been better for the most part

His talent and the money he wants does not jive. I thought the Lakers overpaid him last year.

Why? Because a Heat fan made a thread about a Free Agent?

I like Shannon Brown as well. However, he thinks he's better than what he really is. This dude was asking for 8 to 9mil per. No team will pay that.

What? Did we forget about the slam dunk contest last year already? The guy sucked.

The only thing he's good at is jumping, like someone else said already.

He should sign with the Heat as their center.

I'm confused as to why the Lakers signed Barnes over Brown. Their biggest weakness is point guard athleticism and the ability to guard quicker players. Brooks destroyed Steve Blake and Derek Fisher in the 09 playoffs, so I was glad to see it, but it seems odd to me. Brown did an adequate job on Brooks.

Brown is an undisaplined defender and with the signing of Blake that tells me they want a better 3pt threat at the pg more than a defender. Anytime the Lakers face a top pg Kobe has to guard them. Now with Barnes you have someone who is all about defense.

I hate when people have a low IQ for basketball then say dumb stuff like this. He clearly has a lot of potential to be a good player. He is very athletic and that will get u very far playing in the right system. He has alot of game besides just jumping. GREAT THREAD !!!!! Dont let people like this guy stop you from stating your opinion.

I would take Brown on the Bulls people underrate what kind of player he can be in our system under Tibbs. If he has been working on his jumpshot this summer he can have a solid year and work on his shot selection. But he has the tools to be a good combo guard in this league. Tony Allen with a Jumpshot.

Tony Allen with a Jumpshot. He's played in other systems and rarely got on the floor. The last two seasons have been his best. So it's not the triangle. The bad thing about the triangle is it makes the Lakers overlook guys because they feel they won't fit the triangle.

Ok Mike Brown didnt knw how to use him right. Larry Brown wasnt coaching the Bobacats and didnt knw how to use him as well. Skiles does not play young athletic players plus he had BG and Kirk in front of him and got traded to them mid season. Phil used him but maybe the Triangle wasnt for him. Under Tibbs he looking like he wants to run and play defense with the roster we have. Tibbs is allways in the flim room looking to play players to their strength so Brown could do good in Chicago as a back up to Brewer who he could play half mins since Brown is a better shooter than him.

When Shannon started in games in 2009-2010 he averaged I believe 15 pts per game. He isnt as bad as some make him out to be. He is a great teammate and can rise to the occasion over and over again. His hops and his meat hooks(hands) are insane. People still talk about the missed dunk in the playoffs this year against the Suns....Calling it the best missed dunk ever.

He would be great on anyones team. He has two years experience with the Champs which usually gives confidence in there game once they play with anyone else. If you think about it coming off the bench with limited play he averaged 8pts. So if we resign him than great. If not someone is gonna get a hell of a player!!!

He's overrated. He was thought to be brought it because of defense, I haven't seen an ounce of it for the 2 years i've watched him.

I like the kid because he brings excitement and some athleticism into the game. He may not be the perfect fit for the triangle and dude was trying to run a high price tag. Ain't no one in their right mind dropping $9mil per. He lowers his pr to around $2 mil or $3 mil and he's got a deal. Otherwise - kick rocks.
