Talk about putting the pressure on Spoelstra. He's done if he can't get the title:

Doc is a great coach and I can just picture him talking right now. "We can beat these lakers, as long as we play TOGETHER". Has anyone ever tried to give Doc a hall on the sidelines? Because he needs one lol.

He might also want to go there because he wants to coach Miami's trio of superstars.....I mean if you're a coach, it's a good place to go because you have the talent already.

Doesn't he also live in Orlando? So he'd be closer to his home. I'm not saying its going to happen (and from what I've heard, he wants to take time off from coaching) but I don't know why you're dismissing it so quickly.

Boston's going to be rebuilding soon, does he really want to go through another rebuilding phase in Boston? Obviously this time, his job won't be on the line like it was last time but I don't see why he's going to want to stick around for a rebuilding project. If anything, he's going to take time off from coaching. I think he's got a better chance of going to Miami than staying in Boston the next 5 years though.

from experience, Doc is able to manage many big egos fairly well. nobody knows if Spolestra can. Me & Pat Riley doubt it!

I can tell you that Doc is the perfect coach for MIA. Remember, him and Wade have a Marguette college connection. I remember Wade said at one point he would love to play w/ the Celtics (although he meant more for the legacy).

I'm glad you have such inside information on Doc Rivers. I'm glad you can go ahead and rule Miami out an entire year before the situation has any relevance.
