The Sixers are open to moving sharpshooter Jason Kapono, according to ESPN.com.
Kapono is entering the final year of a contract that is set to pay him $6.6 million. After inexplicably being buried on Eddie Jordan's bench for most of last season, he averaged 11.4 points on 2.0 treys per game toward the end of the season. It's a little surprising that the Sixers want to trade their only perimeter shooting threat.

It might have a little to do with the glut of wings they now have and also the emergence of Jrue Holiday (at least in summer league). Jrue can replace that production.

More so just to add another rotation big instead of a rotation wing player. A Kapono for Jeff Foster swap is something they are looking for.

He's got an attractive expiring contract.

A team like the Hornets could use him considering their financial issues.

Because maybe the Celtics need another shooter, or the Heat, or the Spurs, or another title contender. And see that he is available and a top 3 shooter in the game.

Reason enough?

You don't seem to understand what I am saying. Maybe a Celtic, Heat or Spurs exec would look into it, but what is the point of making a thread about this and putting it into the NBA forum?

You think a Spurs fan is gonna see this then call then GM up and let him know the news. This should go in the Sixers forum. If it was something along the lines of, Andre Iguodala requesting a trade, that is worthy, but not some crap about the Sixers "open" to trading Jason kapono. Of course their open to trading jason kapono.

Kapono for Bass would be a good deal for both teams.

Give me one reason, why any NBA fan of a team that isn't the sixers is going to want to read about Jason Kapono. The Sixers are open to moving Jason Kapono.. wow, that's unbelievable. Tell me the Celtics aren't open to moving Sheldon Williams too.

I am an NBA FAN I think every move that each team makes is interesting. Kapono is a great shooter and could be a valuable asset to a playoff team.

Also, Shelden Williams already signed with the Nuggets. I know this because I Am an NBA FAN. What Brings you here?

Kings will take him gladly.

How these dudes who can only shoot get these contracts?

Kapono makes 6.6 and Reddick is getting 7?

These guys are role players on the lowest level.

I don't see anything wrong with this thread topic. It's not Lebron / Heat related and it's something that could impact a bunch of teams in the league.
If you have a problem with the topic, please take a deep breath before posting.
Also, don't respond to baiting, whether or not you feel it's warranted.

Kapono plays zero defense, for now basically all our team players are good defenders, so we don't want him
