Boston over Atlanta and Chicago

Bulls haven't proven anything yet, and Atlanta almost got beaten by Milwaukee in a 7 game series, swept mercilessly by Orlando the following series.

Gotta love those mid-July NBA power rankings.

Boston #5, 6 minutes from a title and they are number 5=no credibility.

To be fair though if you read what he wrote he basically says they'll be far better in the post season than in the regular season. I mean Orlando and Atlanta had better regular season records than Boston last season, so its not unreasonable to say that they'll do the same this year. Miami is an obvious choice. The only argument you could really make is against putting the Bulls at #3.

I like his writeups. Looking forward to seeing the West.

I'm surprised he picked Charlotte to make it. The difference between them being a high lotto team or an 8th or 7th seed is their PG spot. If they get nothing out of Livingston or DJ, they are going to fall hard.

I got the Bulls with the 3rd seed as well. Nice list.

The Saints are ranked #5 in the NFL rankings and they WON the title. Go figure.
I think the reason for Boston is that they weren't a big regular season team like the years prior. Just like Atlanta was a really good regular season team. So they probably played by ear here.

The Celtics will not be playing for the regular season next year. A #5 seed may be too low, I agree. but #3 or 4 is more like where they will end up.

Now the Bulls at 3 is a stretch

I like NY at 7, I think that is good pending anymore additions

I agree with most of it but from 3-5 I would have Celtics, Bulls, and Hawks in that order

I stand corrected. I didn't read the article so I will take you all's word on it.

Playoffs maybe because of the seedings, but no way the Hawks don't have a better regular season than either Celtics or Bulls.
