View Full Version : Who Will Win MIP Next Season?

I think it'll be JJ Hickson because LeBron is gone and they could build towards the future.

Other candidates:
Greg Oden (hopefully he stays healthy)
Travis Outlaw (homer picK)
Marcin Gortat (if he gets traded and starts somewhere)

Another candidate could be Michael Beasley. After two disappointing seasons in Miami, he has a great opportunity with the Wolves.

Either Oden or Beasley IMO.

WoW Dan Gilbert must have pushed Self Destruct on Cleveland Cavaliers if that trade happens

Leon Powe and Boobie are the X-Factors on Post LeBron era for the Cavaliers

Boobie isn't gonna change any franchise, he ain't even a starter so what are you talking about? As far as Powe goes though he seriously didn't get any chance to play in CLE and could very well thrive on another team (which I hope it happens).

JJ Hickson or get this... Elton Brand. I think under Collins, and with the changing of the offense he's going to get around 18-19 ppg. I know its a longshot, but i still think he's got the talent to do so.

Brand isnt a bad choice. but i think beasley should do well this year. homer pick travis outlaw bc he has an opportunity to play now

Beasley would be my first guess.
Oden if he can stay healthy.
Hedo Turk on PHX
Felton on the knicks in that system.

I wonna say either one of these guys

JJ hickson- now that james is gone

Steven curry- he will show the league that he can be mentioned with the elite PGs

Anthony Randolph- i can see him flourish in M.D's system

Geargo Wallace

They wont give it ti former stars like Hedo and Brand. They just had ****** seasons.

I still don't see what's so special about Hickson. I see Milsap written all over him just with betta athleticism.. Not a bad player to have but nowhere close to a game changer

I'd say Greg Oden if he can stay healthy. Beasley possibly.

JJ Hickson. Dude is going to be a star one day.

What?
07-18-2010, 01:46 PM
Yao Ming if healthy if not

Gilbery Arenas if he plays if not

Greg Oden if healthy if not

JJ Hickson

TheKing23

JJ Hickson

Other honorable mentions:

Greg Oden
Michael Beasley
Anthony Randolph

I honestly think Anthony Randolph has a great chance if he stays healthy... If he gets significant playing time in New York his numbers could go through the roof in their system.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that believes Elton Brand can still play. If your injured it takes time to heal and get into a rhythm and he's not been healthy enough to do that here. I think he is a 20-10 guy if healthy.

I think Greg Oden and Tracey McGrady need to be in the equation if healthy.

I'm going to go with Robin Lopez. It's no seceret that his statistics will elevate with Amare Stoudemire out of the picture.

I like Beasley as a MIP candidate, but he'll be coming off the bench right? I don't know if he will get the touches he needs.

I got two homer picks: Raymond Felton and Danilo Galinari. Felton is fast, and with Amare to finish plus the ability to run in D'Antoni's SSOL, he could do well. Gallo will get a lot more open looks and touches now that our black holes are gone. Felton-Amare P&R will lead to Gallo on an island behind the arc.

Imma Go with Demar Derozan

2nd year players normaly dont get MIP. thats a fact.

Im going with Anthony Randolph, hopefully, he gets a chance to shine in NY, because the GS Warior arnt very smart with tallent if you ask me.

Another option would be Javale Mcgee, I think him and wall can be sick together.

Also, Hakeem warrick has a good chance playing with Nash.

Starballer
07-18-2010, 04:50 PM
why are so many people thinking that Beasley is going to win MIP. He may very likely get less minutes than he had last season. After all he's going to be Kevin Love's back up. Yeah sure he has potential but he'd have to average around 20 PPG to be considered and he isn't figured to get that playing less than 30 mins per.

I'm going out on a serious limb here and say Greg Oden.

Yeah, I agree Brand if healthy and under the right offensive scheme, maybe could get the MIP... i still think he's talented.

Tmac and Oden if healthy I could see working out... Hickson is probably the favorite. Maybe Bayless on Portland?

07-18-2010, 05:02 PM
Felton, Gallinari, Randolph from the Knicks all have a decent shot at it. Robin Lopez, Andrea Bargnani, J.J Hickson all may emerge with the departure of their best players.

I hate saying this because I don't want to be a homer and rosterbate but I think Demar DeRozan has a good chance.
