Will he have a breakout year and be a top 7 player?

Well as I said the MVP thread, I expect him to be 3rd in MVP voting and also 3rd in scoring.

I really want him to be healthy so he can show what he can do, he can be elite in this league.

NO WAY i can easily mention 7 players that are better than him. Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Durant, Dwight, Chris Paul, Rondo, D. Williams, Stoudemire...common i know its off-season but don't waste threads for garbage.

NO... Just no.

Roy will be an elite player next year and it will lead him to getting some MVP recognition.

24/5/6

I would say he can average 28 PPG with about 5 dimes and 5 boards. Alot depends on what else the Blazers have up there sleeve. I think they are going to make a huge trade here soon. Maybe not for Paul but Tony Parker can be had. I think they want to upgrade the PG position.

It all depends how healthy that team comes back.. because he was suppose to have a breakout year last year and got injured.. and what about LaMarcus aldridge What if he has a breakout year, what if greg oden FINALLY plays a full season and is decent (15.0 10.. I jus seem him maybe a most 23 5/4.. nothin spectacular to make ppl tlk MVP cuz most of the tlk will be about KD, Melo, Kobe, Howard.. dont see ROy in tht convo

Im glad you could easily name a handful of media hyped ESPN favorites, but your wrong, very very wrong. He'll have better numbers than Wade, LeBron, Dwight, CP3, Rondo, Williams and really Amare Stoudemire is better?

I still think he's a top 10 player but not quite elite yet

he is a great player but by no means is he elite!

kobe
lebron
wade
Melo
Durant
Howard
Gasol
Deron Williams
Chris Paul
Bosh
Bogut

I would take all those players over roy without a question.

Well my expectations are that he'll play 20 good games before getting injured again.. GAME OVER. He'll be back next year.

If he is healthy he can put up aroun 25 5 and 5.

But i wouldnt bet on him staying helathy people forget he didnt get drafted higher because there were reports on his long term health.

I'm a huge fan of Roy, that guy can be the best player on the court on any given night.

I give him a lot of props too because everyone thought he was just the best player in a weak draft, no one thought he had game like he has shown so far.

he said he wanted to become more of a dominant scorer/closer like Kobe, Lebron, Melo at the end of last year, so maybe this year he'll stick to his word. I think he'll get around 24ppg, 6 rbg, and 4.5 apg, and lead Portland to the 5th seed.

I expect him to be healthy the majority of the season, if not all. Also expect him to be there when Portland needs him in the playoffs.

Don't really think he'll ever be recognized as a "superstar". Just seem him as a player in the elite class, someone like a Ginobli at best.

Read what I said, not comparing them right now. His ceiling IMO will be a "Ginobli", an elite star, but not a superstar.

To stay healthy and complete a full season! The rest will work itself out (the stats/MVP consideration/allstar) but he NEEDS to remain healthy for a season in order for that to happen!

I love B. Roy but he isnt gonna be throwing 25 5 5 plus because of his team, and if he does his turnovers will be up and % down.

team could be better than i think, we will have to see

Why exactly can't he average that on the Blazers?

I think he can be a superstar for sure... He's no Kobe, LeBron or Wade but he's still really good.

Top 20. Is this a joke? He is clearly better than a top 20 player.
