3 Jazz going to the Bulls. This Bulls team is even better than the previous Jazz team and they will be in the improved but still weaker East. The Bulls could thrive next year as long as the system is right for them.

good move for us. Not a great long range shooter but decent enough from the floor. What he adds the most is a solid defender and an atheltic guy (hopefully still is after injuries) that D up bigger guards. As of the moment tho Korver looks to have to carry the load from long distance, so i see them splitting minutes, who cares who starts. I just hope Roses 3 point range has improved as much as he says it has. Rose being a 3 pnt shooter also will really scare defenses.

Brewer was allways a good defender if thats the case we can say the same thing about Rondo and he gambles a lot as well.

I'm not saying he's a terrible defender. I'm saying he gambles too much. You can still rack up a lot of steals if you pick your chances right. Rondo has better timing and anticipation.

"Ronnie's got to quit chasing the ball so much on the defensive end," Sloan said. "He chases the ball a lot looking for steals, and doesn't play solid basketball all the time.

"A couple of those at the end (Sunday's) game could have cost us a ballgame when you're trying to get steals instead of getting back and getting set up defensively."http://www.deseretnews.com/article/705337897/Brewer-hoping-to-get-extension.html?pg=2

I like Brewer a SG who shoots 50% from the field even though he cant shoot 3's i'll take it.

He may not be the best shooter but you need PLAYERS first who can ACTUALLY play. Brewer had a PER of 18 with Jazz 2 years back and was a 14ppg Scorer shooting 50% from the field.

He is athletic, runs the floor really well, rebounds, plays good D, shoots good pct from the floor and will knock down a 3 here and there.

Also, it's not like he won't improve his 3pt shooting at all. Rose and Deng also will knock down some 3s as well. That's their main focus this summer so I know they will.

Heck, Utah won 54 games with Deron/Brewer/Kirilinko/Boozer/Okur - starting 5 and it was agianst stacked Western Conference team.

Deng and Rose, that they have a lot of mid range players and no deep threats. I know thay have Korver off the bench, but I think it's important to always have at least one floor-stretcher on the court at all times.

"It's there; I have a consistent 3-point shot now," Rose said Wednesday night. "You'll see. I just have so much confidence in my jump shot now. It's coming along so good. It's past even my expectations at this point."

Not anti-heat. I'm anti-Lebron. I was really pulling for the Heat to have a great offseason. I was hoping they could nab Bosh, Haywood, and Salmons to go w/ Wade. I was a huge Heat fan during their title run. They were my second favorite team (love Wade and Haslem). I just REALLY hate Lebron, so I now need to root against the Heat.

sorry guys i got carried away and didn't want to bring up the whole Heat topic thread bashing annoying Bulls fan sorta thing.
It's just whenever someone mentions the bulls, it's always "they don't have enough shooting". Well, same can be said for a lot of teams, but people dismiss it with the Heat. Just bringing it up for comparisons sake that a team doesn't have to be a good three point shooting team for them to be very good (and the consensus is that the heat will be a top 2 seed in the east).

I know everyone will jump on my nuts for saying this... but the bulls under tom Thibs might just be able to steal a game or two from the heat this year, STRICTLY from a defensive standpoint.

1. Thibs is great at figuring out how to get teams to take a ton of jump shots
2. no one on the heat is a lights out shooter, though wade, bosh, and lbj are all pretty consistent, they all definitely have their off nights from a shooting perspective.
3. With a tenacious defender at the 2, he can at least slow wade down, and Deng guarding lbj who has in years past done an excellent job forcing him to create for others, and noah and boozer guarding bosh.

I think the bulls at least DEFENSIVELY stand a chance... on offense? thats a different story

Look if Rose is as consistent of a 3 point shooter he is now claiming this is a good signing. brewer play good D and can slash. Luol can hit the side 3's some what and boozer can also space the floor out with a jumper. I'm sure the Bulls will sign someone else and also we have Korver coming off the bench. good pick up by the bulls. We don't need too many shooters whos going to just jack the ball up there. I say the bulls need to look at mason for his shot or barnes cause he can play D and has a nice shot as well.

lol all those years and trades they made to save for the 2010 free agency, when all along they just wanted our team :laugh2:

:o Sorry Jazz fan, but it do looks like we're stealling your key players to better ourselvse. Hopefully we don't steal Wesly Mathews from you aswell as a solid SG.

Thibs should be able to make his defense even better... He'll probably start, but Korver may get a good chunk of the minutes. It'll be interesting to see how it works out. Solid pickup

great pickup, but they still need a 3 point shooter.

He will start because he is now their best peirmieter defender.

The Extra D will work well for DRose in transition.

Start with D and when the other team adjusts insert Korver.
