View Full Version : ex-Laker Kareem Rush's new single "Promises (Hold you down)"...

So, I was studying while MTV was playing in the background. I heard a new R&B song playing and just happened to stop what I was doing to check out who was singing. To my surprise, it was our former draft pick Kareem Rush. The song/video is actually pretty good, and though I couldn't find the video on youtube yet, the slideshow with the song is pretty good. Check it out....

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I thought I'd bring it up and see what you guys think. Plus, it's good to hear something besides "the Heat" and all of the rest of the free-agent fantasies going on out there.

Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/user/Kareemrushofficial#p/a/u/2/Piq-z0_YjCc

We should sign him just so he can do a collaboration with Ron Ron. Featuring Mbenga.:laugh2: He's not a bad singer though. Maybe he picked the wrong career.

I remember he had a pretty good jump shot, good shooter, however he didnt want to play behind Kobe, he wanted to be a starter so he refused to re-sign with the Lakers..

Haha too funny. I ran into him at vanity in Vegas over memorial weekend. Definitely a cool down to earth guy. He told me he was still with the clippers he didn't seem to sure which is funny now looking back on it. Maybe this music thing is his next journey.

I remember meeting him at Fox Hills Mall. Always liked the guy, remember he use to be on the floor during the final moments in close games. Always a good shooter. Was disappointed when he left but would love to have him back. We desperately need shooters.

You're such a hater. He's clearly no Chris Brown - not that any upcoming artist would wanna be like him anyway. I can see that you're a diehard laker hater, even ex-laker players you dislike.
