Gotta say Jefferson. His is now part of a system with a PF focus. Not to mention he will be coach by Salon and have D-Will feeding him the ball. Has all star potential written all over

Elton Brand. He will not be a 20 and 10 player again, but i think 15 and 8 is realistic.

I wouldn't mind brand. Philly needs it. But Jefferson is younger and on a new team which is a lot better than the Wolves

I think Eddy Curry will have a very good year. Its a contact year for him. He is having serious money issues. He not only needs a good year to save his NBA career, but he also needs it to sign a decent contract so he doesn't end up bankrupt.

Unfortunately he will probably be very motivated, put up a good season, sucker some team into giving him a full MLE size contract, and then start tweaking his knee every other week.

I just hope the Knicks don't fall for it.

Nice offense, but that combo would play no D and get no rebounds.

I kinda hope TMac signs with Miami, just to make sure they dont get out of the first round ;-) Joking of course. Seriously, if TMac signed with a team that needed him to play the way he likes to play (the Cavs perhaps) and he stayed healthy, then he could have a real turn-around.

The same could be said of Michael Redd. He is a great talent and should he stay healthy and return to even 90% of what he was, the Bucks will have a great year, or they could use him as trade bait (dangle him in front of the Cavs, they could use a wing man).

Al Jefferson might hit his full potential this year. I wouldnt say he'd fallen off the map, but it is obvious that the new front office does want to run an offence that relies heavily on Jefferson, so his numbers took a hit, but I think most especially if Sloan calls up Karl Malone and gets him to help with conditioning and post moves and defence, Jefferson could become one of the best at his position.

Elton Brand could also have a solid year with new coach Doug Collins and a full healthy season. He seemed to be returning to form late last and I like the maturity he displayed when speaking frankly about his performance, saying that he did not want things to turn out like this in Philly and he wanted to bring his A-game and that he wanted to turn it around WITH Philly and help them win. Some guys might have demanded a traded or blamed coaching, but he seemed to take ownership of the situation and seemed determined to work on resolving it.

Hopefully Yao returns and is healthy, but I think that even if he does return, the Rockets will keep his regular season minutes down and his numbers will take a hit. He's only played close to one full season since he started getting 36 minutes or so a game. He has a unique body type/frame, and I dont think it is designed to handle a gruelling regular season.

Adam Morrison has no where to go but up.... or out of the league altogether.

Those are the guys I think have a chance to turn things around. Most of you seem to agree, since these are the names that seem to be popping up.

They say the Elton Brand injury was a 2 year recovery period, and he actually has a competent coach this year, so we'll see.

If he can get 17/7 I'd be so hyped

As a Bucks fan, I want to see Redd traded, but also love the guy and hope that he has a good season if he does find the right fit. I think Utah would be a great one for him. Maybe the Rockets too, or even the Bulls, though they are a division rival. However, he is supposedly not going to ready to play until February.

Another guy is Maggette. The Bucks basically got a guy who scored 20 pts a game in under 30 minutes a game while shooting over 50% from the field for free. All they gave up is bad contracts, and got a 2nd round pick as well as Maggette. That should tell you how bad the guy's defense is. However, on a contending team with a defensive minded coach, and surrounded by good players who have bought into the Skiles approach like Bogut, Jennings, and Salmons, I think he could be fine. If he becomes even an adequate defender, then he is a great player with a friendly contract, and the Bucks will be set to make some noise in the playoffs.
