Stephon Marbury is expected to decide soon whether he'll join the Israeli team Hapoel Jerusalem.
Marbury played 15 games in China for Shanxi last year, averaging a healthy 22.9 points and 9.5 assists per game. But at 33 years of age and with a lengthy list of questionable behavior state-side, his NBA career is assuredly over.

Taking the world tour i see.

Israeli teams pay pretty well, know someone playing in their feeder league that earns 80,000USD + living and expenses.

I'd imagine the players in the premier league are compensated better.

tht will last like 20 days before they relese him.

Israli people are very srious bout work ethic and antics so this can only end in a bad manner.

Israel is a great place to play basketball. It may not be the NBA, but I would say its above china at the moment. I don't really think he is looking at the money, he just wants to play basketball at the highest level possible.

I've always had a soft spot for him.
Israel is where Anthony Parker tuned his game before a successful return to the NBA.
I'm not saying Steph is coming back, but it's a good place to play ball.
Best of luck, you goofy bastard!
