I also thought he wanted to start, but whatever. I see he's gonna make 4 mil a year, so I see why he went there as well. He's got his rings, now its time to get paid.

lol yeah, smart move jordan, you're going to get even less minutes there and the Nets are goin no where, unless they'll play harris at the 2 and Farmar at the 1, or the other way aorund

There's a big possibilty that he will start there because Harris is injury prone :)

anyway good luck jordan!

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say money had something to do with his decision. I don't think anybody wanted to sign him as their starter.

sad to say but this is jordan hitting his big payday... he will never get a bigger contract than this again...

good for him... probably could have gotten him for 3/$10 million if they had waited.... can't believe there was much interest from anyone else...

The Nets are wasting all their cap space on average players that will not make them much better. The Russian billionaire's prediction of winning an nba title in 5 years is looking more and more ridiculous by the day. Jay-Z can't be happy...

This is getting a bit off topic, but I think they're looking for a big trade. Collecting all these little pieces here and there. The players they're getting aren't shabby as well so they would be a good trading partner for teams that want to unload their star (ie. Memphis with Pau).

I'm glad he's gone! I'm not a hater, I never did like him in this system. Good luck to'em.

He hasn't signed yet.

Jordan Farmar has a standing three-year, $12 million contract offer from the Nets, but he hasn't signed it yet.
"It's on the table," Farmar said. "Both sides are trying to figure some things out. I'm definitely interested." He has expressed a desire to be a starter in L.A., but would be a backup for Devin Harris in New Jersey. The Pacers have also had interest in Farmar, and they need a starting PG, so stay tuned.

EDIT: He signed after all. Good luck Farmar.

good for him, he still wont start though. but he knew we didnt want him and instead of walking into an awkward situation he just left and thats what was best for both parties

I thought he wanted to go to a team where he can start? Good luck with that in New Jersey. A little much for Farmar and this makes Blake's deal look like a steal.

Harris is a bit overrated, if Farmar develops (which he should since he'll have a much bigger role) he might be able to start for the Nets, perhaps not this upcoming season though. I think it's a good move for him, he has the rings and now got paid. Good luck to him.

Some of you act like Devin Harris is God. When was the last time he played a complete season?
Jordan will start soon enough, just look how Devin lost to some average white boy-

I just want to wish the best to Farmar. He's been solid for the Lakers. I feel a little more comfortable with Blake though. I live in Portland and would watch his games. Dude's a solid player with a sweet shot and doesn't turn the ball over too much.

Good luck Farmar! who knows, Avery Johnson might still give him a good 20-23 minutes consistently.

I always said, in the right system, farmar will flourish. Obviously, the triangle was not it.

I don't understand why Laker fans hate the guy for doing what's best for his career and family.

What don't you guys understand that the Lakers weren't going to bring him back next season? The writing was on the wall before the season even started.

This decision was a win-win situation for both parties. The Lakers got an upgrade at PG and Farmar went to a team better suited for his skills set.

NJ also signe dMorrow to an offer sheet same deal 3 yrs for 12 mil. If GS doesnt match it maybe they will do a S & T. They would have 3 PG's. I dont get it.

They are looking to make some trades and Harris has yet to stay healthy for a full season.

Farmar played well when the bench mob had talent and complimented his skills. Farmar is better suited in a more traditional offense and run and gun offense.

I'll miss him, You got two rings. Get payed brotha, get paid. I hate to say this but, I wouldn't mind seeing Harris out for a while, that way Jordan can start for a while.

so he signed for $4mil a year, same as Blake who is a better player. Hopefully that shuts the people up that said we paid too much for Blake.

Anyway i was a fan of Farmar, hopefully he has a good career, good luck

well, he aint going to start unless he drastically improves his game because they have an all start point guard over there. I think he will do well over there. He said he never liked the triangle O. Well, this is his chance to prove hes better than he really is. He just didnt fit the triangle

Jordan leaves the best team in the NBA to join the worst team.

1. He won't start.

2. He will most likely play fewer minutes.

3. He got paid more than he deserves and is probably the reason why he chose that spot. Have fun Farmar. At least you'll get to QB the 2nd unit unlike in LA.

Zefflin

Peace out Farmar.

07-12-2010, 01:21 PM
Well good luck to Farmar i suppose. he wanted to get paid and thats what he got. he isnt going to start on a consistent basis so im not too sure why he would go there. He's not going to be contending for a ring either. But hey i guess he got paid.

sweet we got rid of farmar maybe the offense will be run in the second unit now!

Why are you guys hating on Farmar? Bet he makes a name for himself in NJ. and if he starts he'll def. show every1 he can play and lead

I actually agree, Farmar was simply not used properly because he isn't a natural fit to the triangle offense.
