I think it is Washington i mean that backcourt is great, once Blatche is back they will tear it up, with kirk hinrich, nick young,yi,al thorton, and maybe howard also ,and also flip saunders can be a good coach.

Knicks.

People is ripping on them for gailing about lebron but they have quitely created a very good YOUNG core that is just waiting for melo to join next year and go the next step.

Alos Grizzlies, theyr young core is as much good as Thunders or Blazers they just ned a bench , and thry to not lose Mao or Marc next year )wich will be difficult since they wasted their money on maxing Gay)

Ill be a little homer and say the Knicks. No one is giving them credit, but quietly they have built together a team that is capable of playing in Dantonis offense, and a team that finally brings some defense. They are young, athletic, and have a lot of height to compliment themselves.

PG: Ray Felton
SG: Wilson Chandler
SF: Danillo Gallinari
PF: Anthony Randolph
C: Amare Stoudemire

With a bench consisting of Toney Douglas, Bill Walker, Kelenna Azubuike, Ronny Turiaf, and Jerome Jordan, the Knicks have options at nearly every position. I can see them being a 6,7,8 seed in the East.

As for my non-homer pick, I have to go with the Bucks, especially with the return of Michael Redd to a team that already won 46 games last season when Bogut missed nearly a dozen games. They could be really interesting to watch.

Miami. Apparantly getting Bosh and LeBron is not enough to win according to some "a single game" some of you very smart people are saying they won't even make the playoffs. Now I know most of that is just based off jealousy but still they are actually being counted out by some people. Eventhough they are the vegas favorites but hey ...... jealous forum poster >>>>>> Pros at vegas.

knicks and bucks

but since everyone is picking the bucks does that make them not under-rated anymore?! :P

so ill go with the Suns. Yes they lost amare but they have a few nice young players who are ready to step up. And of course they still have Steve Nash. I wish the Suns would of picked up D-lee tho. They need some inside scoring but nash + lopez + dragic + almond + frye + dudley is still a competitive team in my opinion

I'm going to have to say the clippers. They again got another solid player through the draft. I think that they could possibly push for the 8th seed this year. Remember griffin is comming off his injury as well...

Catfish1314
07-10-2010, 03:53 PM
Nobody talks about the Bucks enough but they could easily be a top 5 team in the East this season. They've put some good scorers around Jennings and Bogut. A better PF with Ilyasova would be nice but they are looking really good. Plus they'll have a trade chip with Redd's expiring this year, or an expiring to keep and use for a FA this summer.

For the past few years it has been the Rockets. Every year they would get crippled by injuries and still contend for the playoffs with a hand full of nobodies. Scolia is a nice complimentary player but Aaron Brooks should not be on a basketball court- the dude is like Nate Robinson with no hops.
As for now, I think the Bulls are a little underrated with the moves Miami has made but once the season gets going people will realize how good they are. The Knicks and Warriors both got a lot better and will surprise ppl. OKC is good and young but not overrated.

I don't think my Thunder are underated anymore because everyone kind of knows how good they are after getting to see them in the playoffs. I would say the Rockets and Bulls are being underated right now. If Yao is healthy they are a very good team with good offensive and defensive players. The Bulls are starting to really stack that team up nicely.

Gallo, Chandler and Randolph, who are all young. Plus they have some decent role players now (Buke and Turiaf). More importantly, there's no ball hogs anymore (Al Harrington), sucky PGs (Chris Duhon) and the Knicks finally have some players that would seem to fit Mike D's system.

People are going to see this season how much Amare's game changes without Nash... Maybe then they will see how bad of a job that Donnie Walsh have done giving up all those draft picks and overpaying Amare and maybe Felton

Agent008
07-11-2010, 03:16 AM
I'd say the Rockets, but that's based on two big ifs - if they re-sign Scola and if Yao is healthy this year. People forget about them, but if they have both Yao and Scola they can easily challenge for the 2 seed in the west.

They really did mess up by trading away their draft . There's probably about a 50/50 chance that it ends up being a lottery pick.

Celtics. They get doubted all the time and almost always find a way to prove everyone wrong.

Look at how the ESPN analysts basically swept picking against them every round in the playoffs after the Miami series (which half of them picked the Heat).

People are already writing them off in 2011 citing age, despite them basically only losing the title by choking in the 4th quarter of game 7.
