What do you think??? I think they should, and I would love to see the Cavs beat Lebron on opening night? But I know it won't happen because the Lakers are champs and the team who are the Champs usually play the first game of the season, but it would be cool.

well we all know whats gonna happen Christmas. gonna suck to have the lakers on a stupid 8 game east road trip before meeting the heat. i think the game after opening night they do the heat at cavs. to get it out of the way while its still fresh.

I hope CLE wins. But they would get **** on by MIA. I think it would be classless of the NBA for them to sentence CLE to an ***-whooping from LBJ on opening night. I think BOS-MIA would be a great opener. Old Big 3 vs. Young Big 3.

No, and I doubt they will. This big games are always positioned to get the biggest ratings. Opening night with MIA is always going to get ratings - they're more likely to have MIA/CLE at some other time when it can be the sole story.
The NBA wants Cleveland fans to stay fans, and totally ******** on them by making them watch a (potential) Cavs loss to LBJ on opening night is only going to drive them away. The head office isn't going to rub it in their face like that.

Make it go like this for the Heat. All of them away games too.

1st game: Cavs
2nd game: Knicks
3rd game: Bulls
4th game: Nets
5th game: Clippers

first 5 games all away and teams that had a chance for lebron, perfect :D

lakers vs heat would be a very solid first game for the regular season.

Its possible but i find it highly unlikely. If and when they do play, hopefully by some miracle the Cavs win
