how is it worse than Cleveland's? lol its a professional letter to the fans that talks about the team not Bosh. All colangelo said was that they tried and it didnt work so they have to move on. It looks good to me.

I wouldn't call it pure class. It wasn't as colorful or as much of a delight to read as Gilbert's rant, but BC had some subtle jabs in his statement. For example the use of the word "spectacle".

He was kidding. I guess the smiley-face didn't give it away.

blah blah blah, politically correct. What else did you expect from Colangelo? It had a PS to Riley in white ink at the bottom "I better get a ring."

a little salty but overall classy. He couldn't have been shocked that Bosh was leaving, we've all known it for 2 years now....

I don't think this is nba thread worthy. It'll just drawn in views under the impression its similar to Dan Gilbert's.

Nice letter, feel bad for all those Cavs and Raptors fans.

This isnt even close to what Gilbert said/wrote.

BC is saying - we'll try to put a good team on the court, but lets face it were gonna suck next year. Thank goodness we have 2 draft picks next year; 1st overall and last overall LOL

We shouldnt compare the two letters. Obviously Toronto's letter is more professional, but Toronto fans arent as resentful about Bosh's departure since they expected it. Cleveland's letter is meant to be read by the resentful Cleveland fans, not us! It's entirely unprofessional but it does touch the deepest souls of the disappointed and enraged crowd, as if the ownership and the city are together facing the difficult times ahead, not necessarily a bad strategy by Dan Gilbert.

THIS is exactly what an owner and/or president of a team should respond with.

I give Colangelo a ton of respect for writing what he did, and not throwing Bosh under the bus, although you can tell he was upset. I loved how he wasnt a sore loser like Dan Gilbert is. Gilbert's letter just threw away any sympathy I had for his franchise.

The fact is that I think BC is confident that he can still build something good, therefore Bosh situation hurt him/organization less. Dan Gilbert is the owner... think about it.... no more James to fill his seats. Raptors games are almost always packed (even when they were bad).

how colangelo is a professional and didnt take the bosh leaving too heavy like the cavs owner...but hey he knew bosh was leaving...cavs owner didnt know that lebron is leaving :)
