"The Michael Beasley Era is ending as a grand new one is about to be unveiled for the Miami Heat."

Really? The Michael Beasley Era? I can live with say "The LeBron James Era is over in Cleveland", or "The Chris Bosh Era is over in Toronto" or when a hall of Fame player retires, for example Jordan, "The Jordan Era is over in the NBA".

Why does every two bit hack sports journalist want to overuse this term? No imagination, no thought given, just blurt it out for any player changing cities regardless of stature in the league or talent and ability. Michael Beasley has not even played in an All-Star game yet. That is not to say that he won't some day, but until then, please keep the term Era reserved for when it is appropriate.

Thoughts!
