"We're the Eastern Conference champions," Ainge said Thursday. "And we think we're going to be better next year."

I agree. Still gotta get through us.

Just like what doc rivers said about the magic, "they are the defending eastern conference champs until someone knocks them off". A lot of people will be saying that about the celtics this year. They are the team to beat until somebody knocks them off.

I would take Bosh, Lebron and Wade over the Celtics 4.

Gotta beat the ECF champs to be the ECF champs after all. And until they are beat, they are the team to beat.

On paper, Lebron + Bosh + Wade look unstoppable, but I think their will be a chemistry issue, but that's just my opinion. We'll just have to wait and see.

Super.

Exactly. Just like Orlando the year before.

Going to be tough for the Celtics to get back to the Finals, no doubt

I guess your Lakers were just conserving their energy then for the offseason. Because it wasn't a cake walk for them.

Good for him, he's right. The Celtics are the team to beat, you gotta beat the best to be the best.

Jermaine O'Neal will really help Kevin Garnett and Perkins. I think the Celtics stole O'Neal for the price they got him at. He's a great interior defender.

lets See Oneal KG Pierce Allen & Rondo vs Bosh Lebron ??? Wade & Miller!: Heat!

C's Bench vs Miamis Bench: Boston

Doc Rivers vs Erik Spoelstra : Boston

both teams on paper 51% boston 49% Miami

I agree. Still gotta get through us.

Celtics are the champs of the east until proven otherwise. But what just happened tonight is the equivalent of Ray, Pierce and KG joining forces in 2002, opposed to 2007. Scary, but Boston still holds the EC crown.

So you don't have to see the Heat in the Finals? :eyebrow:

Even if it is LAL vs MIA I think the Lakers would win. They're a polished team and they have Phil. Miami needs at least a year to gel IMO.

I agree, that's the privilege the Celtics deserve throughout next season. Even a team of 13 michael jordans is not the best Eastern Conference team until the Celtics are officially dethroned in the East.

I don't see how Miami can stop Orlando when their biggest players are all rookies.

People saw what a mistake it was to sleep on the Celtics this past season.

But we've also seen how Wade can carry a team by himself to the fifth seed. With the best player in the league as well as a top PF now on Wade's side, it's hard to see the Heat as anything other than the favorite. Also with the Miller signing it's not looking good for the rest of the East.

Well they are the defending eastern conference champs so i would have to agree. Until they are knocked out, they are still the eastern conference champs

i have a feeling some how Orlando finaly gets CP3! then Orland would be favorites

I'm a laker fan, and Boston is the team to beat in the east no doubt. Boston deserves respect for what they did, they were the best defensive team in the league, and heck if they play with that defense they always have a chance to win any game, any time, any where.

Big men just got that much more valuable in the NBA. The team who can pack the paint, turn LBJ and Wade into jump shooters, and control boards and points in the paint would stick it to Miami. Boston has done this better than anyone. LA also has the players down low to do this effectively, and SA if they land Shaq.

a person in an organization said that the organization they're with is the team to beat... of course.

first off they are the eastern conference champs.

second, it's his team - he's not going to say "oh yeah my team all of a sudden is second place because of this, we should try to play anymore"

Boston is a more complete team. Their chemistry is set. The Heat have three guys who are used to seeing the ball almost everytime down the floor. They will struggle, because mainly Wade and LBJ are used to getting the ball in their hands.

Bosh is a lightweight PF...if Boston makes this a half court game, the Heat will get bullied inside...Boston will outrebound them and get more possessions.

Star power alone don't win no basketball games.

I can see that you're an intelligent non homer Celtics fan.
