Is this going to start a new trend of the top 3 free agents every year, getting together and having dinner to talk about which team they can all go to that can afford them?

Is this the first in the long line of super team formations?

Next year Carmelo could meet with the best free agent available and plan on meeting Amare in NY. This could have a large steamroll effect.

If the Heat win the title then yes.

The NBA will end up with 5 elite teams competing every year, and 25 horrible teams. No more in between. The free agents will only start signing on teams where they are joined by superstars.

This could end up being very bad for the league, as a Jazz fan I'm worried about Deron Williams in a few years. But with Stern being Stern, he'd act before it gets too bad.

I would hate that. I think it is fine for two guys to combine but three is a little too much. Besides, teams would have to make trades to clear cap and I doubt other teams would be willing to facilitate deals after a while.

I think Carmelo and Chris Paul should go to the Knicks next year, Dwight Howard should go to the Celtics, and Deron Williams and Dirk Nowitzki can go to the Lakers.

You can have the Celtics, Lakers, Heat, and Knicks. Leave only 4 teams and just drop the other 26 and have a 4 team traveling league, Globetrotter style. The other 26 teams can mesh into 4 bad teams that the elite teams always play and annihilate.

I think free agents always have decided where to sign...
