Try to find a player in the NBA draft over the next few years who can become a star. They will most likely have a top draft pick. Find a player like a Tyreke Evans in the draft, find a big time free agent who would like to play with them, and rebuild.

How does their cap space look now that LeBron is gone?
I still think they could be an okay team, might be able to pull off a playoff appearance if they don't go all out on rebuilding.

Rebuild. It's going to take time though. They have a lot of long term contracts right now. They'll be mediocre until they can clear those & likely for awhile thereafter.

I just hope they re sign Z for next year.

I don't know, but I just feel bad for those people. The Cavs didn't move to Baltimore like the Browns did, but they may as well have.

They were well over the cap with LeBron, so most likely they will start tearing the team apart to trade for picks in order to rebuild.

I love the Browns, and Cavs. It's not really fair for Lebron to do this especially stab the fanbase that has supported you for 7 years on national tv. His legend would of grown in Cleveland, but now it's going to waste with Wade, Bosh.

Dont believe the hype. lebron, wade and bosh knew what they was doing. Lebron didnt try to recruit bosh here.

He might even be more hated than Modell. It took us a few years to get our team back, but will we ever get a LeBron type of player back?

Modell has got to be sighing a huge sigh of relief right now knowing that for the moment he is not the most hated person in Cleveland.

still got mo williams to pg, varego to play center and hickson to play pf move jamison to sf and that still looks better then what the knicks currently have of Amare, better then maybe what the nets have ( harris and lopez) better then the wizards ( just wall and blatche imo - arenas doesnt count i think he is gone), umm maybe better then the raptors so i dont see them finishing dead last.

Why would he leave? He has a ring and has been to 2 of the last 3 NBA finals and just signed a 5yr extension....

Anyways its now time for Cavs to trade one, two, or all of their biggest contracts - Sideshow Varejao, Jamison, and Mo....

Look on the bright side Cleveland, its almost Browns sea....... oh yeeeeeah...... Riiiiiiiiiiight.....

Now we don't have LeBron's contract counting against us we have about $9m in cap room. Cut Delonte and we have about $13m.

We can build around the current team with that money and hope to luck out with the draft lottery...

Hope there is another 6'-8", 250 pound kid with speed, agility, strength, and the ability to jump out of the gym somewhere in Akron. Oh, and it would help if he had Magic Johnson-like skills.

I'm tempted to joke about signing a player whose sole job is to do bodily harm to LeBron in the Cavs first game against the Heat, but I won't.

I wonder how many "Cavs" fans will jump ship now?

I'll admit, I'm jumping ship lol. But I was never a Cavs fan though. I'm a LeBron fan. I'm originally from Buffalo, so I have no home team :(. But I have family in Akron and spent some summers there growing up. So LeBron is sort of like a hometown hero for me. Akron being so small, and to see someone come out of there was really exciting for me. I always hated the Cavs though. I live in Florida now so it should make for a smooth transition.

For all I care, this is what they get for displaying their cockiness and arrogance. They were so happy and over themselves these past two years saying they were the clear cut favorites to win and using a "Christmas Day" game as the measuring stick of whats to come? Good riddance Cleveland fans.

The cav's have a solid roster. I would't be suprised if somebody steps up and they get the 7 or 8 playoff spot. I think only the lakers or celtics will be able to contend with the heat. The league is screwed. The question is not only what will the cavs do, but what will the other 26 or so teams do. I hope the league does something about this.

I feel so bad for Cavs fans I never though LeBron would throw his legacy away like that. He promised you guys a title and dipped out when times got tough. At least you know that he will no longer be able to live in Akron anymore and he will regret this one day. But for the current Cavs team there isn't much they can do. Hopefully they can get a few teams to take some of the heavier contracts off their hands and they can start getting some young talent in the draft.
