View Full Version : Which Team Is The Best Fit For Michael Beasley?

07-07-2010, 03:16 PM
This will be pretty interesting to keep an eye on.

IF Miami trades Beasley between now and 9 PM Eastern Time tomorrow then it is a clear sign they have received a verbal commitment that LeBron James will be picking the Heat tomorrow evening.

IF Miami doesn't trade Beasley between now and 9 PM Eastern Time tomorrow then it might mean that they dont expect LeBron to commit to the Heat, but they aren't going to risk moving Beasley for nothing.

So if Beasley does get moved. Heat would need to clear salary cap space. So a team under the salary cap would have to be involved to take on some salary.

Which team is the best fit for Beasley?

warriors, knicks, blazers

New rumor is Beasley to Portland for Andre Miller.. throwing in Rudy Fernandez and Mario Chalmers

07-07-2010, 03:29 PM
I would like to see him on the Kings. I think he would be a good fit with their young core.

07-07-2010, 03:32 PM
Beasley for Whiteside?

07-07-2010, 03:34 PM
Clippers would be interesting

Yeah, I didn't even think about the Suns. But they would definitely be a good fit for him. They need someone to replace Amare, and he could do really well with Nash feeding him down low.

07-07-2010, 03:43 PM
chicago, if they don't get boozer.

otherwise maybe the suns, or the raptors via sign and trade.

07-07-2010, 03:45 PM
Sacramento would be interesting, except that they have a stacked frontcourt w/ Landry, Thompson, Cousins, etc. I don't think Chicago or New Jersey are horrible fits, but neither of those are very likely destinations. Why would another possible Lebron-contender help us out? The Wizards have a couple immature players, I doubt that's a good fit for Beas. The Thunder would be cool, if he could get his touches. The Clippers have B-Griff. The Raptors would be perfect, but they're not taking Beasley.

07-07-2010, 03:47 PM
Cleveland minus LBJ

07-07-2010, 03:55 PM
A dumb, lazy, undersized PF(or SF without range). Whose very skilled. My guess is to somewhere with a strong head coach to give him guidelines on his play. Maybe he can salvage his career from being a bust so far.

Knicks would be nice, but I think OKC would be boss with him though. He will fit their love for young players.

Pf- Beasley
C- Aldrich

Serious contender out west

Unless he learns the concept of a team, no team is a good fit for him.

Can't wait till he makes every one eat their words. This will be only his 3rd year.

07-07-2010, 04:31 PM
OKC...didn't he use to play with Durant in HS? at least on the AAU circuit?

i second this opinion

even if beasley is a 6th man, hes still good for 15-7 in 27 minutes a night

oh and anyone who watches the game or pays attention to anything other than his stats on a screen knows hes a workaholic to the point of where hes his own worst enemy, and spoelstra pulling him for long stretches whether hes playing well or not doesnt help his case.

all i can say is this is a classic case of player mismanagement by the heat who have always given up on good young prospects only to see them blossom elsewhere, riley knows whats up, thats why he wont trade him.

Raptors, sign and trade for Bosh if they do the sign & Trade, Beasley on Raps will be nice.

Beasley for Whiteside?

Nets are interesting for Beasley. Harris, Beasley, T-Will, Lopez is a nice core.

07-07-2010, 07:13 PM
The Knicks.....they both have a mutual disgust for defense.

Warriors or Suns

07-07-2010, 07:33 PM
I don't mind taking Beasley now, but he'll have to play the 3.

07-07-2010, 07:37 PM
either in Jail or D-League.

07-07-2010, 07:38 PM
I think Beasley would be a fantastic fit in OKC.

07-07-2010, 07:43 PM
clippers no doubt.that would be a sick young core

07-07-2010, 07:44 PM
Suns came to mind first because all lazy defenders with scoring potential look great playing with Nash.
Warriors would be nice too.

07-07-2010, 07:44 PM
D league....lol

I don't think OKC is a good fit for Beasley at all. First off, and you have to remember, those guys are young also. Beasley might be hesitant to respect them. He needs a team with good Vets like the Celtics or the Spurs.

07-07-2010, 07:51 PM
I hope he goes to either Rockets, Thunder or Kings.

Rockets could offer Jared Jeffries and a 2nd round pick. Then Heat buy out Jeffries giving them more room to sign free agents.

I think he could be a good fit with Suns though....

I can't wait till Michael Beasley proves all the haters wrong..

Some of you guys act like he's a bust? The guy averaged 15 and 7 as a second year player. He's just a really bad fit in Miami. When he gets moved to another team, he'll turn into the player everybody thought he was going to be.

Michael Beasley can very well average 20 and 8 for another team..

07-07-2010, 07:53 PM
I chose Clippers. How great would that be? They would be so disfunctional :laugh2: Vinny would not be able to handle it either. But on a serious note if he went there and it did workout they would have
That's scary on paper.

07-07-2010, 08:00 PM
In Sac Town he could play alongside Cousins/Evans

Thompson for Beasley straight up.

07-07-2010, 08:03 PM
As a kings fan, I don't understand why everyone thinks we would be a good fit for Beasley. The LAST thing we need right now is a PF. Especially an undersized one. We have Landry.

Unless the plan is to use him at SF, which we also have depth at that position, I don't see him being a need.

07-07-2010, 08:05 PM
Florida crackheads

07-07-2010, 08:18 PM
beasley should be traded to boston and come off there bench as a 6th man role along side tony allen.

miami: michael beasley, mario chalmers

boston : tony gaffney, sign and trade ray allen, 2nd rd pick 2012

boston should also look into sighning a tracy mcgrady or kyle korver in a replacement position for ray

Arkansas RimRockers

07-07-2010, 08:49 PM
I wouldn't mind seeing him come to the Nuggets, but I'm not sure Denver has the trade pieces to make it happen. They are looking to move K-Mart's expiring if possible, though, which obviously would create a hole at the 4.

07-07-2010, 08:51 PM
the Flint Tropics....

07-07-2010, 08:59 PM
The Rahway State Prison Ravens.

07-07-2010, 09:07 PM
He could stay with the Heat. Now that the salary cap went up, they could use him as a serious spark off the bench if they sign LeBron, play him at SF if they dont, or trade him when his value increases.

07-07-2010, 09:09 PM
Miami needs shooters clippers do a sign n trade butler low risk for clips heat also clear up more cap just a thought

07-07-2010, 09:23 PM
the trash is the best place for him, hes garbage
