OK, Ive thought about doing this for a while. But there are certain teams that you identify with certain styles of play. This can be for a variety of reasons, but normally its tradition/nostalgia. In any case, here are the teams that I think should have a certain style of play as noted:

Denver Nuggets: Up-Tempo Offense...this goes back to the 80s and there are also physiological reasons with the altitude. Not a strong tradition of defense.

LA Lakers: Show-Time...obviously this means up tempo. Historically long and athletic defensively.

Portland: Up Tempo offense.

Phoenix: Open/effective offense but not a strong tradition of defense.

Chicago Bulls: Strong defense with great perimeter defenders. Can play half-court and also up tempo because of athleticism.

New York Knicks: Strong defense with a strong veteran element that knows how to play.

Detroit Pistons: Tough defense. Grind it out offense.

Thoughts? Any others?

Utah Jazz: Pick and roll. Tough hard nosed players that give it there all on both ends and will play tough D and be close to the NBA lead in fouls.

Spurs: Boring-tempo.......spend the entire shot clock setting up your play and in the end pass it to the post and bank it in for 48 consecutive minutes, 82 games a year.

Cleveland Cavaliers: Give it to Lebron. Give the ball to Lebron and get out of his way. Stand underneath the basket or behind the 3 and wait for Lebron to choose you.

LA Lakers- Give it to Kobe. Doesnt matter if hes triple teamed but when theres 4 guys on him, give it to Gasol.

Boston Celtics- Give it to Ray Allen, if he makes the first three, he will go perfect for the game. If he misses the first three, he will go 0-9 from three and it will carry on for the series.
