Think about it.....

They havent got a Marketable player in years!!! They got one of the guys with multiple all stars to change teams...

If Lebron decides to stay with the Cavs, could the knicks be the winners of FA?

If Lebron goes to the Cavs, then they are easily the winners. But Miami and Chicago have the potential to be the 2nd place winners depending on who they land.

Is Lebron the only FA left???

Last time I checked, there were still 2 other guys better than Stat still available, not named Lebron.

Lebron is great, but don't forget about Wade, he is just as good. Honestly I would prefer if the Knicks picked him up instead. I still haven't forgotten how great he was in the finals in 2006, most dominating finals performance I have ever seen, tied with Jordan's performance against the Suns in 1993.

Yes, the refs were great in that series.

I'd say the Knicks nearly downgraded, and spent more money in the process.

...so no, I wouldn't call them the winners of anything.

Cavs would be the winners. Knicks just wouldn't be the biggest losers right now.

It still remains to be seen what Wade, Bosh, Boozer and so on and so forth do.

This notion of Lee >= Amare is laughable.

If Wade and Bosh go to Miami then Miami could possibly be seen as the "winners"

Serious Why do people Think Lee is better than Amare all of a sudden ? But it's what ever we wouldn't be the biggest loser because if we don''t get LBJ we can ship lee *** to GS

The notion that Amare = 100mil is laughable.

The notion if someone else signed Amare it would've been considered a great move... its the Knicks soooo no:eyebrow::facepalm:

It would have been great moves by other teams if the contract was 10-20 mill less. The fact that the knicks were the only one to probably offer the max is why some don't see it as being such a great move, especially when you could have retained Lee for quite a bit less, probably 40 million less, and used that remaining money elsewhere.

New York is the only market, and MSG is the only stage, where a superstar player can make up the $27M difference in Bird max vs other max.

Thats all fine and dandy Lee is a good player but he is not Amare, and also been watching Lee for years I dont think they ever ran a play for him:eyebrow: at all:)

Well at least Amare isn't a Dick Rider like Some Big man we Know Bosh.

The Cavs aren't title contenders with or without LBJ right now unless they make more moves. But they still win by keeping LBJ, but the Knicks have really impressed with the Amare move. If NY adds another big name (Wade, keep Lee, Parker, Monta Ellis, etc.), then they could be considered winners based off improvements.

If the Cavs keep LBJ, they still can't add another great piece without subtracting another.

It's true. LeBron is by far the best in this FA class and in the NBA. You get him, you win FA.

Take away Nash and Amare is Lee without the rebounds. Cavs would be the winners as lose James they become sub 500. however with him they are 50-60 win team depending on who else is there.

Actually take away Nash and Lee is better in points and boards. Add in he does not have knees that are ticking away.

It sounds like he's only returning to the Cavs if Bosh goes there too.
But either way, the Cavs would be the winners far and away. Knicks might be considered the losers if all they end up with is Amar'e.
