Id like to hear who you guys would pick of the young players in the MLB for an all youngster MLB team. The youngest you could go is someone that just made the majors such as Strasburg, keep it to players in the majors. Must have 5 starting pitchers, 1 closer, an 8th inning set up man, a 7th inning set up man and the rest is up to you but no more then 25 total players like a real roster.

Up to what age?

lets say 26. Lester is someone that I would consider on the fence for the upper limit so i went with his age in 26.

I went with players that are currently 25 years or younger that have been in the majors already....

C- Matt Wieters
1B- Ike Davis
2B- Ian Stewart
3B- Evan Longoria
SS- Elvis Andrus
LF- Brennan Boesch
CF- Carlos Gonzalez
RF- Jason Heyward
DH- Billy Butler

SP(1)- David Price
SP(2)- Felix Hernandez
SP(3)- Yovani Gallardo
SP(4)- Stephen Strasburg
SP(5)- Tommy Hanson

CL- Neftali Feliz
SU(8TH)- Tyler Clippard
SU(7TH) - Johnny Venters

BENCH/C - Francisco Cervelli
BENCH/IF- Neil Walker
BENCH/IF- Pablo Sandoval
BENCH/IF- Gordon Beckham
BENCH/OF- Delmon Young
BENCH/OF- Colby Rasmus
BENCH/OF - Andrew McCutchen
BENCH/OF- Austin Jackson

This was difficult, as I tried to pick a team with some depth on the bench. The infield is somewhat weak when it comes to younger players. The outfield and starting rotation has tons of depth. This is my opinion as to who I would take on a younger all-star club.

Too many undeserving players I starting putting them on bench, not doing it.

Wow, can't believe that I completely forgot about Buster Posey and Carlos Santana. I would definitely put them in over my picks (Wieters and Cervelli), good call.

if we're saying up to 26, you'd have to throw Ubaldo in there.

Considering Wieters is likely to be the best catcher in the majors in the next 3 years, I'd take him over Santana. Just my opinion. Santana would probably be second best.

You must be drunk to not have Felix Hernandez as a starter, let alone bench. No homer either.

if the cut off is 26 years old then there is no way he makes the top 5.

1) lincecum
2) geinke
3) josh johnson
4) felix
T5) lester
T5) ubaldo

if this list was 24 and younger then he is on it, or even if it is based on future potential. but as far as what players have accomplished so far at age 26, then he is around 7-9

I'm not making an entire list, but I'd take Felix over Lester, Price, Gallardo and Jurrjens. One could argue taking him over Josh Johnson as well.

I will take McCann and his .851 OPS over Wieters and his .717 (and falling) OPS any day. If you don't think so, you are a complete homer.

The other two guys (Santana and Posey) are too young to judge (with 25 and 34 games collectively).

posey will be the best catcher in the NL by next year and second best to mauer
