Nowitzki and Geschwindner wound up making a flight out of New York on Thursday night before Mavericks teammate Jason Kidd -- heading East on a separate trip with his family -- arrived. That scuttled a dinner they were going to have had Nowitzki been forced to stay overnight.

As the Dallas Mavericks announced earlier Thursday, Nowitzki did detour to New York after leaving his native Germany, which allowed him to pay a quick visit to the offseason home of former teammate and close friend Steve Nash.

Suns are over the cap, no? I doubt Cuban would even consider trading Dirk to the Suns if that is what Dirk wanted. Probably just a friendly visit though.

Just trying to make something out of nothing there JB. They are best friends. I'm sure they try to see each other anytime they can.

I highly doubt this means anything at all. Its like 99% Dirk re-signs with the Mavs.

Maybe Dirk is trying to recruit Nash to be with Amare in NY...

Knicks sign Dirk and Amare and then trade Curry + pieces for Nash.

C - Amare
PF - Dirk
SF - Wilson Chandler/Gallo (one not dealt)
SG - Free Agent
PG - Steve Nash

Well since they seem to be close friends, it was probably nothing more then a friendly visit. Besides even if Dirk wanted to team with nash, im not sure it'd be possible

The only thing you can draw from this is that Dirk wanted to see Nash more than Kidd. Dirk isn't going to Phoenix. I'd bet my life on that...

No way! Dirk saw his buddy Nash!

Means nothing...

I'm 99% sure this has nothing to do with free agency.

If Dirk wants to leave, Cuban would be lucky to get a sign and trade rather than lose Dirk for nothing. And Finley is on the markey to. Could they all re-unite in Phoenix! The two players Cuban let go luring Dirk away. Unlikely I think, and Finley would likely be a non-factor if it happened, but it would make for an interesting story line.

Still pretty sure that Dirk will retire having only worn one uniform. He just seems like that kind of guy.

Dirk and Nash for the Knicks would be awesome, but this was simply a regular visit to chill with his buddy. No news

That would be a great offensive team, but would be a terrible defensive team. Not that it would be a big deal since its D'antoni, but it would be atrocious none the less.

a useless thread about a friendly visit turns Maverick fans defensive and Suns fans delusional. good job JB.

This could mean something but at the same time mean nothing. Like the article said, Nash and Dirk are good friends. It doesn't surprise me, they meet up during the off-season.
