Tad premature to put John Wall over Derrick Rose. I think they'll have similar success in the league (huge), but Wall isn't better than Rose yet - he needs to protect the ball better and prove it against the best players in the world before he earns this spot.

I'd personally put Durant over Howard - especially given the age difference - but that's debatable. Rest seems fine, but I'm too hungover to scour my mind for other players that might deserve a nod.

Seriously..Wall over Rose? Rose even took Memphis to a championship game and Wall didn't.

Also, as a homer, I think Jonathan Toews should be on the list. Guy is disgustingly underrated.

How about Rafael Nadal, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and many other athletes?
I REFUSE to acknowledge a damn baseball player and NASCAR driver as a better athlete than any of the athletes I mentioned before. Key word: ATHLETE.
Also, Kane and Toews deserve at least an honorable mention.
I mean, not every day you can find a 22 year old captain who won the Stanley Cup Finals, Olympic Gold Medal, and Playoff MVP in a span of 5 months.

Dude I dont understand why people have such a hard on for Rose.

Tyreke Evans is a better player than Rose!

Look at their overall numbers...Tyreke's rookie year is better than Rose's sophmore year...and Tyreke is undoubtedly a better defender and no doubt a much tougher matchup problem for other teams.

Agreed. I dont know how they can put Wall before Rose. That's nonsense.

And Ekpe Udoh and Monta Ellis!!! *insert Warriors player here to insure asandhu is biggest homer ever*

I dont care if he is a homer or not. He's right. Stephen Curry should definitely be there over a couple of guys who haven't played in the NBA yet. Also that Wall over Rose thing is total BS. That guy hasn't proven anything yet.

John Wall 11?? to early to tell and over D. Rose very bad call.. Rose is a top 5 pg.. and IMO Evan Turner is better then Wall

People have a hard on for Rose, because he's a hometown kid reviving a franchise. He may not have the numbers, but he is bringing the excitement of basketball back to Bulls fans. Sometimes, it's just not all about the numbers man.

Kind of odd how they have Wall and Turner already on the list since they haven't proved anything. I wonder if there list of top 25 under 25 back in 2000 had Kwame Brown on it... now that makes u wonder in disgust...

Good for him...but that doesnt mean hes a better overall player.

Tyreke is all around the better player when it comes down to both sides of the floor...and hes about to revive a franchise himself.

Its not about the hometown goosebumps story...and I bet that after this year...Tyreke will distinguish himself as the better player.

I like Rose a lot...but Tyreke is just down right scary with his size and strength.

Terrible list. It doesn't even recognize guys like Messi, Rooney, Phelps, Bolt. Also, I know he hasn't done much in the league yet but what about Strasburg. You put guys like Wall, Turner, and Suh who haven't even played professional and leave off Strasburg who has actually shown his stuff on a professional level.

JDMac80
06-27-2010, 10:37 AM
Anybody who hasn't yet played at their sports highest level should not even be considered on this list since they can't truly be compared to the best orhter than in 'what if' scenarios
