I have thought he was going to return all along, regardless of whether or not the Lakers won it.

I think he will. He has a chance for a third consecutive championship.

didn't you guys see the article? If the lakers won, he would come back for one more year, so yes, no question, he's back. /thread

I had always thought that but after seeing him interviewed after the game, Im not so sure.

I wouldnt be surprised either way. The guy has 11 titles and has nothing to prove. Im not so sure a 4th 3peat is motivation for him.

Another 3peat chance? Sure why not

I bet next season will be his last though.

I'm not sure why? Because if LA losses next year not sure he wants to leave with a bitter taste in his mouth.

It all depends on his health.

He'll be back. The Lakers have too much talent for Phil to walk away after two straight titles.

He's coming back and the Lakers will win it next year. I do predict Kobe will finish his career with 6 titles. And next years title will be his last. Congrats LA fans. You should be proud of your team. I've never seen a team play that hard. For arguements sake, Boston played just as hard. Both team's fans should be proud.

He has an ego as big as anybody ever in the NBA (and that isn't always a bad thing), so considering how good this squad is, and his habit of winning three in a row, I think he'll stick around. L.A. has a great team, the MLE to pick up a quatly ring-chasing vet and the potential for sign and trades to add talent as well. And they might even pick up a ring chaser or two that will take the vet min.

He'll be back.

He's not going to walk away from $12 million. Even if all of it is deferred.

He won't walk away from $6 million, even if all of it's deferred.

It's all about the benjamins, baby.

That's why LeBron resigns with the Cavs.

I'm just going to say no. I know he probably will, I'm just hoping he doesn't. Why not go out on top?

He will. He has too. He has to try for the 3 peat. Like they say, when Phil wins his 1st championship, he normally goes on to 3peat.

he better. If health permits him too, i really hope he does. He's the best coach ever, and i dont see why not go for another 3-peat.

I think he will

I'll be back!! Oh no, Arnold is going to coach the Lakers. Wait, no, Phil is going to come back. Gotta complete his fourth three-peat.

I am leaning towards yes. Lakers will most likely be the favorite next year to win and as long as they are favorite, Phil will be there.

He's comin back, no question. He wants to get 1 last 3-peat opportunity.

i think he is going to come back. the lakers will be the favorites again and unless jackson's health takes a serious dive, i think he will come back and try to get his 4th 3-peat as a coach.

I think there is a 90% chance that he does.

I'll say yes, but we all shouldn't be quick to assume that his doctor will give him a clean bill of health.
