I feel like it is still a little skewed. I think Kobe's legacy is more tarnished because he has 3 rings being Shaq's sidekick. Having a dominant inside force like that is something that Jordan never had.

Another thing I will argue in Jordan's favor is that Jordan, had he not retired, could have literally won the 90's. In his last six full seasons prior to the second retirement he was a champion every year, and it could have been 8 years had he not stopped to play baseball in homage to his father. And had the bulls owner not broken up the team they may have won the next year. I mean Jordan and Pippen were the best duo in basketball when they broke up in '98, I think they had enough in the tank to win '99 as well.

Jordan was a on court force I don't think will be duplicated for a while.

As a player, I’d rather have a Finals record of 6-6 than 6-0.

That's a really interesting point and I have to agree with it.Of course it's better to be on the finals 12 times and won in 6 times than only be in finals 6 times and won them all.

the article seems pointless other than trying to find an edge, the only edge that kobe has over jordan, the number of Finals experience?? kobe has way more experiences in losing in the Finals too! there's no comparison imho. Jordan was The Man for his team thru' out the championship runs while kobe was generally viewed as shaq's sidekick, kobe was to shaq what pippen was to jordan.

I understand why he might think/say that but I'd prefer to be an undefeated 6-0 in finals

Pretty soon ppl will start threads about Horry being better then Jordan because of his 7 rings...since Bill Russell isnt even talked about with his 11 rings. It amazes me how quickly this generation is forgetting about what Jordan did and what Jordan had accomplished back in the mid 80's and in the 90's. Sit down, go to Google, look at Jordans accomplishments and realize how stupid most of you are by trying to compare Kobe to MJ.

No point in this thread.

Jerry West went to like 9 finals. Magic did as well. Kareem was in like 10 finals.
