I guess this deserves its own thread like the other S-6 matches had. Still have Ward in my Top 10 p4p list and expect him to put on a clinic this weekend.

I've got Ward out pointing Green in this bout.I still might go to this fight as well.

Gotta root for the hometown guy!
what time is the fight?

I don't like Green and don't like him in the tourny. I hope he gets KO'ed. The guy has done next to nothing in his career and looked like a bum in his last fight against a guy waaaaaay smaller than him and twice his age.

Ward showed us a lil something different.I did not know that he could fight inside the way he did,S.O.G. can do it all.I expected more out of Green but he said that he was weight drained.I can dig it.:box:

WARD IS IN THE SEMIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cheer:

this fight was very unimpressive....if andre ward was truly the best super mid like ive seen alotta people say,he shouldve finished that bum in 8 or less.....weak fight last night!!

^^Green's not a bum. Outclassed, certainly, but not a bum. Though his excuses about being drained/having overtrained were embarrassing.

As far as Ward he looked excellent again but I can't blame the skeptics who want to see him fight outside of his hometown before they fully buy the hype. Most guys get away with the occasional hold but he seemed to be holding and hitting every time he could get inside. It was the very definition of the word excessive. He's still got fantastic natural ability and he's a very smart fighter, but I'd love to see what happens when a referee actually does his job and takes the holding and hitting away from him.

Ward stays in my Top 10, but I'm picking Dirrell to pull the upset in September.

Ward/Dirrell is gonna be a great fight & its gonna be in Michigan but I think Ward will still pull it out.
